You guys are getting too worked up. This season isn't going to be a good one. It's a trial run to see what personel can be kept, and who can be used going forward in 2015.

lmao @ "Why give up a whole season for a shot at a guy...." If you end up with a top 5-7 pick, you get a shot at talent. Even if you didn't get Okafor, there is plenty of talent out there.

I hope the team is good and competitive, but seeing as they're unlikely this season to threaten for a title... might not be a terrible idea - if the season is a scuffle - to think about the future, seeing as the Knicks will be a very different looking team next season, either way.

It makes no sense to make the 7-8 seed and lose in 5 games against the Bulls/Cavs.
Tank and be in position to get Stanley Johnson; Okafor, Mudiay, Towns, or Henzoja. Worst case scenario you use your top 7 pick to go out and get Cousins or Pekovic 2015 or 2016, then sign Horford in 2016.

People act like we buy a single lottery ticket because of the chance to win. It's less about the chance to win and more about the enjoyment you get from speculating what you would do with the money.

Same with your favorite basketball team. Will the Knicks win a chip this year? Most likely not. But if they play an exciting season...I can lose myself and hope like I did when I was a kid.

fukk A TANK SEASON. Make me forget my basketball iq and let my cloudy eyes think we're on the verge of shocking the world. That's what is worth the price of admission...effort.
