I'm sorry but a hurricane named Milton just sounds non-threatening :russ:

It's insanity. I live in Kansas there are all kinds of rules about building in flood plains. Florida lets people just build anywhere I guess because they assume the government will keep bailing their asses out like they have been. And, the number of people who don't even HAVE insurance :dahell: I was just fukking around on zillow or something and looked at the floodplain maps of Florida, they got whole ass cities in flood zones.

Then the whole issue with condos not even having to do regular maintenance until they get to the point of collapsing. Florida is a libertarian fukkfest

I don’t see how they do it. We in GA and we made sure the house we bought, it’s damn near impossible for this bytch to flood.

How can you purchase a house and every fall you don’t know if it will still be there. :mjtf:

I don’t see how insurance companies can operate in that state for much longer. Florida is getting its ass handed to it.

The Combined Ratio is just becoming too high for that State... more claims than taking in customer payments.

I lived in New Orleans for 5 years (95-00). We ran from two hurricanes. I'd stay for a CAT 2, iffy for a CAT3, and were gone for a CAT4. As of right now, per the weather channel, it should drop to a CAT3 before landfall. It sucks though, do you head to the pan handle or head to south florida? Should know more Monday night.

Schools in Pasco County are closed for the full week. I guess they are allowing families to leave as soon as possible. Technically there's two ways to get to South Florida. Both will probably be gridlocked by Tuesday morning.

Be safe Florida Coli Brehs.

And it's a rarified product of its development in the Bay of Campeche, a sheltered southern bite in the Gulf of Mexico west of the Yucatán Peninsula. Since 1850, only two storms that originated there have struck Florida; none have done it in the past 155 years, with the last to take that path recorded in 1867.

Twice between 1850 and 1867, not again until now?

Wow.
