This is going to be a thread where people drastically underrate just how stacked those Magic/Celtic teams were in the 80's and say they were only good because of a time period.

Those Magic Laker teams were better than the Kobe/Shaq teams. They were beyond stacked.

1986-87 Los Angeles Lakers

That team is not going to be pushed around by anybody.
The Warriors last year won more games and had a higher SRS than those Lakers.

The 2015 Warriors's defense were better too.

Almost as big of a mismatch as Rambis on Draymond Green
If that's how you're gonna coach, with Barnes on Magic...Curry on Cooper..and Rambis on Green...then good luck having Thompson trying to guard James Worthy.

And you're also still leaving Kareem playing 1 on 1 with Andrew Bogut.

Brutal.
Just brutal.

Rambis having to guard Green is the biggest mismatch of all, you don't seem to understand the purpose of Green at the 4.

There's no where to hide Magic either, the scrambling the Lakers would have to do on defense, and old ass Kareem having to come out 24 feet to guard the high screen?

Break down how Klay Thompson is gonna guard Magic Johnson.
Cuz we damn sure know Curry aint guarding him.

:skip:

What's the over/under on Kareem scoring 45 a game with Andrew fukkin Bogut on him?

:bryan:
These flavor of the month ass nikkas actually think that Draymond Green can guard possibly the greatest offensive player ever in Kareem :dead:

This little success GS having is making these idiots on here lose they mind

Draymond Green can't even create his own damn shot.

So how is that a mismatch?

Dude is a good player.
But you acting like he'd go for 30 a game on those Lakers.

Raul, you cool and all but you're embarrassing yourself right now :francis:

Using your logic the Warriors should have been better with David Lee than they are now with Dray, since he averaged 18/9.

Break down how they would do it :jbhmm:

They weren't dominant defensively, and there's only so long you can keep trading two point baskets vs 3s.

I bet you thought the Heat with 2 of the best wings of all time would beat the Mavs, right?

Here's the thing... Why are yall comparing vastly different ideological approaches to basketball to begin with...

Wildly different eras....... Wildly different rules.... .Wildly different styles.... shyt is all hypotheticals..... and makes for bad talking points right out the gate....

What I'm saying is that Draymond Green/Kurt Rambis or Worthy (or whomever the Lakers choose to guard him) isn't anywhere near the disadvantage as Kareem/Bogut is.

Or as big a disadvantage as Magic/Barnes is.
