For the black folks in here buying it, I understand. But for others such as myself, it seems like it would be somewhat awkward playing it. I like to speak with my dollars, so if it's worth putting some cash behind, I don't mind. The concept is dope, and killing klan members definitely, sounds enjoyable. But if it seems like it's playing simply off the shock value, I still have plenty of other games to keep me busy. What say, thecoli? Subject matter aside, I was excited for it before I found out about the racial theming of it, and it's looking like a really well made project regardless.
The southern union part was hyped up on here, but that was part of a trailer which showed a lot more gameplay. They are part of a larger piece of the puzzle. It's only "racial themed" because the Mafia series was always more grounded in realism from the jump. The narrative is very very well put together.
You can't base a game in 1968 and not bring up race. The story doesn't isn't going to hold back because someone may get sensitive. Yea you are going to get called a ******. Yea people are going to treat you different based on your skin color.
Welcome to America. Where playing as a black protagonist in a video game makes people go
