I'm rewatching and the during first viewing I was distracted during the Don/Betty convo but that was a great scene. Betty's "I know" perfectly summed up the regret they had as parents.

I mean once they found out Don and them were going to McCann, i'm sure the sleuths researched all the ads that McCann created...

That and they've already mentioned Don being involved with Coke....and that Coke ad is pretty famous.

I can totally see how someone came up with it..

I knew of the coke commercial...I just never bothered to do the info that Mccann was the actual company...I thought it was a company made just for the show :wow:

Yea that's true, I didn't know about that ad agency's history either until Reb's wiki post.

Main problem I have with the ending is the openness of it. Obviously the implication is that Don created that ad but would've loved to see the reaction of his return. Also wasn't feeling the way they tied in Peggy and Stan's love declaration right after her call with Don. She just that quickly forgot all about dude sounding like he was about to commit that. Unless that was meant to be more of a proof of how people immediately forget other's problems because they get swept up in their own world.

i thought it was great that don's full breakdown didn't happen through him explaining himself or making some crazy sob story, life revealing ("i am actually dikk whitman") speech or anything like that. he just felt it. it was internal. the audience knew everything that was weighing on don and could connect the dots with what everything that fridge story guy was saying...so nothing needed to be said by him.
