t-dot till they bury me
For this I had to side with Joan.

Don threw away a huge client, which would have lost them a lot of money because he couldn't stand dude. Didn't talk to anybody, essentially told him to fukk off at dinner, no one found out until the next day when Ken got that call.

Dude merged with another firm, didn't talk to anybody, check out how it would work out financially, what the power structure would be, just showed up the next day like, we merged with the company headed by the dude I wanted to beat the shyt out of less than 12 hours ago.

He does shyt like that and says "I'll fix it." No thoughts on how it would effect the team. He can take those risks because he's rich as fukk, he's got the charm and smarts to make it work.

Everyone else can't, their livelihoods lay in the hands of a dude that gives no fukks because he can deal with the consequences.

totally agree

pretty much. lol. he gives zero fukks about what any of his coworkers think for real.

its actually crazy how much power this nicca don really holds. hes got power, success, money ( i think its safe to say he would be a MULTI millionaire in todays terms), respect from his peers (he is known in his industry at being one of the best at what he does), can have pretty much any woman he wants, he has a wife who loves him, etc, and dude always seems so unhappy and pissed off.

shyt let me live that life

i think it was $10k? if so, thats roughly $75,000 in todays terms. but there was also a point in season 4 i think it was when the company was struggling and losing clients real bad when Lane arranges a bank credit line that requires collateral from the partners. Don put up Petes share again which i believe was $50,000?? roughly $367,000 today!!!

Don's God status.

He owns what appears to be a penthouse in Manhattan.

He's been getting check after check, for how long?

He probably has tens of millions of dollars in their money.

It wouldn't surprise me if he has much money as Roger.

:wow:

While Don seems cold and unattached, in business you have to be like that. The fat guy wanted to string them along and make them beg to keep his business. This is why you never get dependent on one person. It just gives them all the power in a relationship.

Aside from the fact that it was skeevy as fukk, that's why Don wasn't down with having Joan smash their way into the Jaguar account. If you start the relationship placating someone on that level, you really don't give yourself much room to say no to other ridiculous shyt down the line.

And Pete is such a social loser, it's hilarious. He played that situation all wrong, he shoulda just came clean, poured his heart out on some "I want you to hear this from me: I got caught in a whore house by your father" "I've hit rock bottom" shyt

He could have moved back home that night. :snoop:

Trudy wouldn't have cared about him being there (she knows what they've been going through) plus it was clear she was warming up to the idea that he'd come home

You must have missed it the first time:smugdraper:

Plus, while Don did get lucky, you could say that about his entire career. It's about doing business a certain way, Jaguar wasn't that way, they shoulda been dumped them.
