There were tons of females in line for Pitch Perfect 2 this weekend. I was amazed. they showed out.

Say brehs, where in the Mad Max timeline does Fury Road take place? I was having a hard time placing it, not that it's a big deal but it's interesting nonetheless

The 1st movie... like 80% of it was about his partner, Goose... until he got killed and the last like 20 minutes or so was about his revenge because the guys that killed Goose killed the his wife and child. It was AFTER he got his revenge is when he became Mad Max.

Believe it or not, HARDY's Mad Max has the MOST character development of all the Mad Max movies, because in the previous 3 films, Max was never truly "Max". He never was crazy in the head or anything of that nature. In Fury Road, it shows a Max that's truly just... OUT THERE. Keep seeing visions... always having a long blank stare... just having overt post traumatic stress. Before, he was just a drifter that doesn't really want to be bothered, but reluctantly finds himself in these situations that never directly involved him.

Pretty much. It's also important to keep in mind that in the original movies it was 'Mad Max' more in the sense of "I'm mad as hell and I'm not taking it anymore" rather than 'mad' in the crazy sense.

It's a loose reboot/sequel (Max had a son in the originals, here's it's a daughter) but I think we're left to assume that this 'rebooted' Max already went through the events of the past three movies.

Yes. I went in having never seen a Mad Max movie and it was god level.

Yes, you should. But keep in mind that at least two of the three are vastly different movies from this.
