because that's what his core fanbase KNOWS him for genius nikka even said those were the people he's doing it for, said Lasers and F&L2 were his only straightforward joints and he's not gonna do anything like that again

but keep thinking you're making good points every time lu dropped some lyrical shyt nikkas used the "bu bu he's TRYING to be lyrical" angle and it makes no sense

you want him to NOT try in his raps? think about that




call shyt forced and unnatural because you have issues digesting what he's saying(even tho the album only been out a few days and im 99% sure you haven't made an effort to replay this shyt to break it down in the first place)

My main issue with F&L 2 was that LU didn't make us fans work....

I'm gonna buy all Lupe's albums again on CD or Vinyl or something, just so it feels like I really own them....

True, but complexity does not necessarily equal better writing. It depends on what you are trying to communicate, and what your duties are. Lupe is not dope because he is comlex with his rhymes, he is dope because of how he delivers them. If he was not technically sound then no one would care. I probably won't know exactly what he said all across this album for weeks because I do not have the time to sit with it, but the fact that I ike most of it and I haven't even caught everything yet is a testament to how well put together this is.

I even like Dots and Lines now...there's not a skippable track on here and he's spitting at a high level again and the beats are better than ever

just like everyone else in the modern world. But Guy did better than he did on F&L 2 though..Lupe gave him too much space on Blur My Hands though, nikka went to the scatting and shyt, and I was like nah bruh c'mon
