Also, I believe the album, as pertaining to the narrative, is about THIS version of Michael Young History (remember how he died and came back to life on "The Cool"? I think something similar happened here.)

As far as the album title goes, Fiasco insists that he did not name his album after Japanese manga series Akira character Tetsuo Shima -- "For me, Tetsuo sounds cool" -- but admits to being loosely inspired by the biker-gang member who's bombarded with destructive, psycho-kinetic abilities. "You can hate him for what he's done, but it's not just him being an a$$hole," Fiasco says. "How that relates to me as a person -- you can take that however you want, but it was more like, let me get to the emotion of that misguided anger and make this sound like a song."

Me too. Big time. He's off Twitter now though. Gonna do what he always shoulda been doing - let the music talk. I think during being in Atlantic purgatory he had a lot of free time and used that to tweet a lot. The results as we both know were disastrous

So disappointed by the last 2 albums. But I haven't given up on Lupe yet. Let's see what he's got. Love the title with illusions to Japanese Anime "Akira". I know he said he didn't get it from that but most people know the name from that. Anyways, I've heard "Deliver" and I thought that was straight. Let's see if he still got it.
