Is it just me or does blur my hands feel like the label forced that on the album ? And is the worst song on the album

Blur My Hands is a good song. It's where the theory about playing it from the end first to the beginning came from.

And the singing is fine, at least he has somebody on the track that can sing, and didn't sing it himself like a lot of these dudes are doing now a days

Yes I agree, the only thing that makes me question it is the fact its about flippin the bird... I hate Atlantic so much nikkaz can never really understand between Twista and Lu I cant see how anyone could sign to them.

Yeah, that rapper trying to sing nonsense is and always has been bogus to me, unless they can bonafide sing/croon, like Lauryn Hill, Cee-Lo or Pharoahe Monch. The J. Cole album would've been a lot better if he wasn't singing on half the songs, cuz his production was pretty damn solid too, as was his rhyming and concepts.

I understand as an artist, you don't want to be forced into a box, but you should still damn well be aware of your capabilities and limitations.

Lupe himself has called Nas the supreme MC. The reason he raps is because of Nas. His favorite album is It Was Written. He wrote an essay and posted it online about how and why Nas is the greatest.

If anything Nas would be Jordan and Lupe would be a Kobe/Lebron hybrid.

Maybe in some times and cases, but honestly, I think these cats really be thinking that they can hold a note and desire to try to do so. Have you not ever seen the delusions of grandeur of the bad singers on shows like American Idol before? And those are folks that aren't even famous and don't have a circle jerk of yes men pumping them up to do whatever.

Most folks don't wanna be a one-trick pony, so they try and do other "big" things, despite not actually being good at them and their "power" positions allow them to do so on a more grande scale like this. Remember Jordan wanting/playing Baseball? The average rapper also eventually becoming an "actor".

Blur My Hands def ain't the worst song. That beat was too good and Guy Sebastian delivered on the hook.

I love every record, but if I had to pick one that didn't hit me quite as hard as the others I would give it to Little Death, and that song is still really good. The smooth, laidback vibe just didn't do as much for me as the more aggressive, heavy hitting shyt, but offered a great change of pace a long with no scratches. Without those two and dots & lines everything would be hard hitting. I also feel Little Death it didn't fit the Fall tone as well as it would have fit the Summer tone, but I could change my mind on that with more listens.

The 5/5 songs for me so far - mural, dots and lines, prisoner 1 and 2, body of work, no scratches, chopper, deliver and Adoration of The Magi

4/5 - blur my hands, madonna, TRON

3/5 - little death

Album has no skippables.

I kind of envy you breh... youre able to just clearly put Lu the Bar Gawd over the guy who used to be your GOAT, but I gotta sit here and go back and forth with myself... has Lu done enough to pass Pac? I listen to Mural and No Scratches and im like this nikka the GOAT! But then on nights n im drivin and I got some Henny in me and I throw on Makaveli and I remember qhy Pac is the GOAT. So for a while I had a BOAT for purely the skills of rappin... that is clearly Lu, but sometimes I think hes the GOAT. Am I just holdin on?
