i think lupe and KL are both good mcs, but i can't listen to either one of them consistently. Not my cup of tea, but I think they're dope, but lyrically, Lupe is better. I want those quotes. We can end all of this if someone just posts some ill azz, hit the rewind button, "dead in the middle of little italy: or "it gets tedious/ so I keep one eye open like CBS" kendrick shyt that I've never heard. I'm not saying he doesn't have it, but how is the greatest rapper alive and top 5 all time unquotable. U call it hating, I gonna call it, "show me I'm lying.."

I've said this before AND I'M GONNA SAY THIS AGAIN...it's all cute how y'all think Lupe is this great lyrical and quotable Svengali but in the real world, step outside and ask real avid Hip Hop listeners to qoute some Lupe bars and you gonna get crickets. NOBODY cares to listen to dude and he appeals mostly to the same type of people that listened to that mostly God awful underground nerd rap from the late 90's/early 2000s.

So you'll get names like Big Pun, Jay Z, Eminem, Big L, Nas, BDK, Kool G Rap, Biggie

I'll never get the Kendrick Lamar hate, since it seems like it's just because he's popular....

Kendrick Lamar makes the best Hip Hop music out of this generation...and his conceptual and storytelling skills are amazing...

He made two of the best albums of all time in any genre...without having 10 writers on a track. He actually did the traditional way of just writing your shyt and actually saying fukking words and rhyming them together without hella autotune and reverb and adlibs...

That's really all that matters at the end of the day...

Big L the only dude you named there that is considered a punchline rapper. Stop it. And if you're saying these rappers are considered great mostly by their ability to rap than you have to consider that Kendrick is doing something people are liking. Really liking. Punchline rappers exist in the mainstream and tend to transition more from just doing witty punchline centric raps

And Kendrick isn't really measured by his ability to rap, he's measured by his ability to make great albums and storytelling
