I said nothing about it sounding like All the Stars. The effect in which they would’ve marketed it would be similar if Lupe still had a machine.

I thought Battle Scars was a played out sound especially coming from Lupe after the few years preceding. Everybody, including me, was like “nah, this ain’t it chief...”

Then by the last quarter of 2012 and into 2013 that song blew the fukk up and was everywhere.

“XO” is a song that if Lupe was still on a label with machine backing, would go double platinum and be a promotional single for a big sci-fi movie.

Not too different from “All the Stars” off the Black Panther soundtrack.

I’m just saying it does sound out of place on the album a but not that I dislike the song

I was listening to food and liquor 2 today and while of course in comparison its not Lupe's best work but he has some great stuff on there...

Unforgivable youth this is and wouldn't feel out of place on Drogas Wave, you also have hood now (love the hook on this)

Like others have said, it’s mainly the middle section which hinders it. I personally just replaced the songs I didn’t like with other songs from that era and Go To Sleep in context, flows much better.
