Tetsuo & Youth is still goated to me, but this project just feels too whiny for me to enjoy. Yes Mr. Inception is always fun to hear when you want to dissect a lyric over and over, but ultimately, it fell flat to me. It felt like a grown man who still thinks he's 15 fighting against the system that honestly still gives him a chance. I don't want to hear complaints about not getting more shine, indie or not. The people have spoken, if they like you they like you, if they don't, move on..Lupe hasn't moved on and its eye roll inducing.

How is this project whiny?

Have we listened to the same album? Cause I don’t understand your complaints based on the content of this album.

The mix on the CD version of Autoboto is different than streaming, the backing vocals on the hook are louder. Granted, I ripped it in lossless but I compared it to the Tidal lossless playback and the adlibs/backing vocals are a full 1-2db louder on the CD. Prefer the streaming version tbr, I wonder if the rest of the CD has that going on.

One interesting note, the bitrate on pretty much all of the songs is ~750 kbps which is very low vs. most modern music. Compared to Drogas Wave for example, the average bitrate on that album is ~ 1000 kbps. Beyond the DMIZ beats being more lo-fi, it lowkey proves he actually recorded on a cheapo mic.
