I was sayin it fukked up AND was also acknowledging fukked up shyt happens everyday....BECAUSE IT DOES. Whether it's somebody in a small town gas station gettin rob n killed or a national tragedy like 911. Nobody is taking away da significance and/or pain caused by either one. Bad shyt happens EVERY SINGLE DAY to people. Nothing is goin to change dat and pointing dat shyt out is somehow a prollem? Stating a fact of life is simply dat....stating a fact of life.

So you missed the part where it was stated that we're the one killing innocents? And in this case, we could keep from killing innocents, for a simple example, by being little more discriminant in who/where we target drone strikes?

All of that makes it worse then because he is basically saying that any innocent people being blown up accidentily don't matter as long as hecan get the second cousin of the driver of the guy who once upon a time met Osama Bin Laden in a poppy field who is possibly a terror suspect. And who gives a damn if this suspected terroristsis a United States citizen? We'll blow them up too and look for any concrete evidence from the smoking hole we leave behind after the drone attack.
Its a barbaric policy and I am in agreement with Pres. Jimmy Carter in his condemnations of the practice.

I disagree that it's worse because at the very least it's clear to him who we're going after and he's gauging their threat. The collateral damage is something I and ever other human being struggles with, but if we put men on the ground, many more people would die. I don't see any other way around it. What bothers me the most is how individuals are categorized as insurgents..it's basically, if we can't confirm that the guy who died wasn't one then

I don't like it, but I see the justification. It wasn't too long ago that a kid from Nigeria almost blew up a plane in the US.

That's the thing though. We're clearly not being discriminant enough if innocents are regularly killed. Would you say we're being specific about who we target when we're classifying all military-age males in an operational area as "militants?"

I'm sorry, but I can't C/S a bombing campaign where we regularly bomb funerals and other gatherings where you know a lot of innocents are going to be gathered.

So criticizing the drone campaign because of the large number of innocents killed = being willfully ignorant?

No one's thinking we live in a fantasy world where innocent people don't get killed in war, or whatever BS position you're ascribing to me. I do think our drone campaign in its current form ends up killing innocent people far too often and it's probably at least a little counterproductive because of it.

The only one here being willfully ignorant is the one who knows about all of these deaths and uncritically justifies it with "shyt happens ".
