Lupe gets judged on an unfair grading scale this song coming from any other artist would be considered dope as hell.

I kind of agree with this, Lupe set an astronomical precedent with his two records to some people. But I like the song, it a dope beat and concept, but I do agree that he does sound a bit uninspired in his delivery, but this is nowhere near as bad you guys are making it sound. You guys had me shook to listen, and losing faith in his album with some of your comments lol.

this is about the genre slug fans are in.

then ignorant lupe fans give slug's props he rightfully earned away to lupe.

while slug is an original and more skilled. plus created the lane, genre and draw for lupe to exist as a major label signee in.

after slug created a major label p&d deal, from the underground. which solidified slug as the flagship emo artist.

plus his p&d deal created the reason.

plus, justification for ye and lupe to get released and deals at majors in the first place.
lupe has not made music that was more anything than slug.
nor, is lupe skillset better either..

if it was,..lupe would have been able to do what slug did.

plus not create big budget overproduced u2 ripoffs, to get notice like slug as well.

not to mention,..lupe never created the grassroots draw and creation of an entire genre like slug did.

which lupe got to draw and get a deal in, as well.

lupe is not on slug's level.

if lupe was, lupe would be original and created the genre like slug did and he did not.

he was a gangsta rapper who switched lanes.

as he lacked the skillset to be a gangsta rapper.

so they created a fake cultural based persona for him,..which has been exposed countless times.

not to mention slug is the flagship artist of emo. lupe fans erroneously champion lupe as.

while also not being adept to whom and what made it possible.

for a major label to create a deal for lupe.

that is what you are not getting and more of your toyism is further exposed from this post as well.

excuse my ignorance and lack of knowledge for the culture, but could you post some work of this slug guy you are referring to? never heard of em - :manny:

Nas gets it too, anybody who decides to drop their best material at the beginning of their career will receive the same thing. This is horrible for Lupe.

I agree, Lupe is judged to a higher standard... BUT HE SHOULD BE

I listen to a lot of hip hop, and I've never been blown away like the first time I heard Fahrenheit 1/15 Parts 1 and 2... the shyt he was spittin on Failure, Where I'm From, Ooh, Handcuffs, Twilight Zone, Champ Is Here, Lupe The Killer, Dead Presidents freestyle, etc. were so far beyond anything I had heard from a new comer to that point in terms of flow, concepts, straight bars, and ESPECIALLY the wordplay... sky is the limit for Lupe, when he's motivated to actually rap and spit bars, no one is fukkin with him

watching Lupe put out shyt like this is equivalent to watching Lebron settle for jumpers knowing that he's the most unstoppable force in the league when he's aggressive and goes to the hole... I almost feel like I want dude to put out good music more than HE does, I guess the desire just isn't there anymore

Well gawd damn that was bad...Who produced this btw?

are going to blame Atlantic after this album too? :aicmon:

I ain't buying the Atlantic sh!t from Loopie anymore.

I bet you he came out the booth like :stylin: after he dropped those bored ass vocals.

F&L2 looking real :flabbynsick:

He better cut it down to 1 disc 10 tracks.

Can someone make a list of all the dope stuff Lupe has done post-The Cool? "Double Burger W/Cheese" and "SLR" were insane. I feel like he probably has a lot of other mixtape or unreleased tracks I haven't heard yet.
