He's lying and being humble, as usual. He is eons better than everybody he named and he knows it, but I respect the fake humility,
It's cool that Lupe is shouting out other great rappers....many that I've never listened to at all....but Lupe is the best pure lyricists post-2005....and no Kendrick is neck to shoulder in terms of closeness.
Can the coli tell me any other rapper that can make a something like “Hustlaz Song” then turn around and drop a “Kick, Push”? 
Craft songs like “Valleys” but turn around and do a joint like “Chopper”?
For every complex layered song like Adoration of the Magi there’s a “More Than My Heart” to match it.

Breezily Brewin from the Juggaknots for having such a small discography made a crazy variety of tracks between the two LPs he did (Clear Blue Skies, A Price Among Thieves). He had all types of storytelling records, concept tracks, wordplay exhibitions, etc and he could rap about literally anything
and on top of all that he has some truly powerful records that are lyrical and hard-hitting.

I consider Clear Blue Skies one of those underground hip hop albums that's good to open people up to the scene, they weren't on no weirdo shyt that draws people away
I'll add Binary Star, Zion I and Cali Agents (Planet Asia mostly) to that mix
