Him and Luka DON'T MIX bruh. LeBron has to be on a state of shock. Lakers took back their franchise on a random on the heels of him playing well in the Garden
Oh I understand that, what I'm saying is he can damn near control where he goes and nobody knows what he's thinking about doing.

I think going back to the Cavs as a FA may be a better move for him. For the Lakers, they need to trade Bron in the next week or they risk losing him for nothing, but with some fans, they'd be fine with that.

the long term ramifications this will have on the Mavs cant be overstated

there was a whole generation of Mavs fans who idolized Luka

yeah, they can cite basketball reasons, but this was such a terrible business decision -- they got absentee ownership now that Cuban sold to some old bag though

you realize Luka led the Mavs to the Finals since all that "evidence" you gathered dropped :dahell:
100 percent agree with you. But maybe Jason Kidd got frustrated and got in NIco's ear.. I just can't see NIco making this trade by himself. Maybe kidd was frustrated behind the scenes?

As far as AD is concerned I'm a little sad for him because Maverick fans aren't going to be soo warm to him especially if he doesn't come out the gate balling and dominating, since we know he can have his moments where he goes on a less than stellar stretch of games.

The moment he falls on the court and takes a minute to get up, I can already envision seeing the fans boo in disgust, not so much because it's personal towards AD but more so against management trading away their franchise guy for a quick chip run that may/most likely won't happen:francis:.

So AD won't be well-received in Dallas if all doesn't end in a championship or Conference Finals appearance, at least within these two years.

These nikkas on here on acting like Anthony Davis ain't worth a shyt

AD is a top 10 player and arguably the best all around defensive big in basketball. If AD got traded for the same type of package KAT got moved for we’d be saying the Lakers lost and Pelinka needs to be fired. He has a lot of value. But Luka is soon to be 26, has led them to the Finals, 2 WCFs and has made All-NBA 1st team the last 5 seasons.

On top of that AD is soon to be 32 with a long injury history. And the 2nd and 3rd options in Dallas are a soon to be 33 year old Kyrie with a long injury history, and a soon to be 35 year old Klay Thompson with a long injury history.

So the Mavs traded someone who could’ve been their franchise player into the 2030’s for basically a 1 or 2 year window and a future 1st round pick that now has less value bc the Lakers will presumably have a still in his prime Luka Doncic on their roster

It’s just awful asset management

Cavs going for it this year. They'll give Lakers Allen for him for sure.

LeBron ultimately has to make the call. Does he want one real shot at a championship window or not. Hollywood Bron era is OVER. Time to cement his basketball legacy at his real HOME. He can go to Cleveland and have a legit chance talk at two more rings.

Makes too much sense

Looks like the new ownership, The Adelsons, might be on that older Jewish mindstate of not trusting white players and wanting to pay them. Plus Luka is always out of shape and injured on top of it all. I remember the incident when Doc became the head coach of the Clipps and Donald Sterling didn't want JJ Redikk cause he didn't trust white players. Doc almost walked away from the job before he even started.

"I think he was going to sign with Minnesota, I literally talk JJ out of it, 'Come play with me. Come play with the Clippers with Chris Paul and DJ and Blake [Griffin], you'd be a great fit.'… The free agent signing is done, JJ agrees, I jump on a plane, I fly back to Orlando, and I get a call from Andy Roeser, and he says, 'the deal's off.' I say, 'what do you mean the deal's off?'

"'Donald doesn't like white players.'"

"I said, 'excuse me?' 'Donald Sterling said no.' I said, 'well, we've already agreed.' I'm in the garage at the Orlando Airport, Ernie, I get a call from Coach K, who is upset because of JJ I get a call from JJ's agent, I think it was Arn Tellem [Ed. note: It was] who screaming at me.

"So I call Donald Sterling, and I think this was three weeks to a month into the job, I'm not sure but right in that area, me and Donald are having a 'conversation.' It made [a screaming, cussing argument with Doc's then coach Pat Riley years before] look meek. So, by the very end of the conversation, I quit. I said, "Well, I quit' [Immitating a screaming Sterling] 'You're not gonna quit.' 'I quit.' 'You're not gonna quit.'…
