Maybe, but shyt, he can stop any trade, so this week will be very interesting.
Him and Luka DON'T MIX bruh. LeBron has to be on a state of shock. Lakers took back their franchise on the heels of him playing well in the Garden

Guys I still think this trade could haunt the Mavs. But I'm starting to gather evidence on why the Mavs did it.

This was from 2023. Most of the comments talk about how Luka is too ball dominant. lazy defender, not in shape

This talks about how Luka's usage rate went from 91 in 23-24 to 82 this year. Doncic moving without the ball, or spotting up around another action before moving toward the ball and attacking off the catch should only improve the diversity of the Mavericks offense when the competition heats up in the playoffs. For now, it just looks like Doncic is a little off as he doesn’t have the comfortability of setting up every play by himself.

My opinion is I thought Luka was a lifer like everyone else. I thought him having a finals appearance eased any concern. I thought Cuban still had some influence on the team. This proves he doesn't. Cuban is a business man. And he knows Luka is a top selling jersey. He brings fans to the games. I wouldn't be surprised if their attendance goes down. I'm starting to wonder if Kidd got in Nico's ear. There had to be something behind the scenes that led to this trade and you not feeling comfortable paying Luka that money. That whole defense wins championships so let me my franchise player for Anthony Davis is a straight cop out

There's 0 chance LeBron didn't know. The Lakers are playing Bronny 15mins a game, but you think he wasn't consulted.

This trade helps neither team though. Try Lakers traded their best scorer, rebounder, shot blocker, defender, most for LeBron 2.0. They're no closer to a championship or playoff success now than they were 1 week ago. They get a superstar franchise player for the future, but no leverage or assets to build around him. And LeBron ain't handing over any reins.

This gives the Mavs a 2-yr window...or 1 more year to get back to the finals. It's doable, but they need something else to compete with Denver.
Kyrie ain't leading no team anywhere. Stop with the shenanigans. Mavs traded the wrong player... LMAO 🤣

AD has never done a thing as the top guy and is 31. Lakers are set for 6+ years. There is no world where Luka should be going for less picks than donovan Mitchell. Theres a reason every exec is shocked thats all dallas got.
Refresh my memory which top 10 all nba player was traded for Donavan Mitchell.

I’m still shocked and dumbfounded at this deal :gucci:

How do you have one of the greatest assets in basketball history and not shop him around the league if you’re done with him? Kicking Luka to the curb when he really hasn’t even hit his prime yet who brought you to a WCF and a Finals appearance is crazy enough. But then to just get that package from the Lakers is even crazier. And I love the way Davis is playing this year and I’m not trying to slight him at all, it’s just the Mavs quite literally fleeced themselves.
Yep

Mavs got kinda jerked
