OP has not been up northeast (Philly, Bmore, some parts of the Bronx), Jacksonville, FL or Chicago.

I've been to some pretty shytty places, but some of the shyt I saw in Bmore had me like

I had the pleasure of stopping by the greyhound stop in Jacksonville...probably the dirtiest place that was still open for business. Bums all around, the whole station had that great combo smell of alcohol and piss AND two bums were scrappin outside. One of them stabbed the other.

excelsior is a real blue collar neighborhood, right off mission and like 5-10 min away from visitation valley and all the bullfrog samoans near cow palace. westwood is nicer but it aint like i was growing up in the marina or pacific heights.
the city is full transplants now tho, its rare to see a native San Franciscan.. we're a dying breed

Living on the ave, I can say most of the homeless people are pretty cool and not really aggressive. But there's this one old lady that's wheeling around a cart or something that usually has a crazy look on her face and I always get a vibe like she's gonna stab somebody.

Columbus has a bum on damn near every freeway on-ramp. Dudes seem like they work in shifts too, they rotate out, but you seem the same faces.

The "bum couch" area down on High is usually wild too. I've seen countless homeless get in fights with the foreign dudes running their lil food trucks downtown

shyt was WALKING DEAD today...i ran from SLU to downtown, up to capitol hill, down pine, over to the market and back up to belltown to mercer /SLU...

fukkin bums with sores everywhere, dude bleeding all through his hand...it was like testers was out on the wire...fukkin everywhere...at the corner of broadway and pine this bum was sitting there had a tear in pants and his dikk out...wtf my nikkas :uTepwtf:. Fiends is everywhere right now...somebody made a lot of money somewhere cause i seen mad junkies randomly on that path like

Bums that have been begging in the same spot with the same question in the same gear for a decade.

With them GIANT duffle bags....you dont know bums until you see a dude with folded over boots go into a garbage can find a starbucks cup...blindly drink its contents, go to a starbucks and ask for a refill and to use the bathroom and get mad when they cant use the bathroom

You dont know bums until one comes into your job and yells "THIS IS WORSE...THAN MONKEY BUSINESS...THIS IS WORSE.....THAN MONKEY BUSINESS...THIS IS WORSE....." until escorted out

You dont know bums until youre walking back from a mariners game and stumble across a bum tent city in SoDo and see huge rats running thru sleeping backs and bums giving ZERO fukks

No city got bums on lock like seattle that ive seen.

OP is right. I've lived in Charlotte, Chicago, Seattle, New York, and I've spent significant time in San Francisco and Atlanta. Seattle by far had the worst homeless / bum problem I've ever seen in my life. After 2 AM, the entire downtown is taken over by crack addicts and other people tripping off their balls. It's fukking scary.
