Because nobody else will, and she's in a position to see that if she doesn't tackle it as part of a bigger picture, there's a gap that will allow for infection/re-infection down the line. This isn't something you use to ignore or slight other groups just because you don't like them, or some twisted need for schadenfreude that keeps getting pushed lately. That’s a lazy counter argument and downright foolish. This is completely relevant to the problem at hand because both issues interrelate. Black people are being affected greatly in the city and we need as much relief as we can get. This mandate only makes the pool even smaller. If you can’t see the logical connection between the two that’s a personal issue.

Second, 2,000 vouchers to be given to individuals, 1K is through a “lottery system” (its Chicago so it’s most likely fixed anyways). Black people are already fighting for scraps, now with this it’s going to be even more bleak. Please do your research before you speak on my community.
