damn. you got it bad...again i'll just have one beer or 2. some weekends i'll take like 5 or 6 shots with beer mixed in. thats like once or twice a month.
I dont get the shakes or start drinking hella early in the day. I drink out of being bored. On my days off I'll start early around noon but it's only days off.

I've posted in here before but w/e

My issue with alcohol is the insomnia when I stop. Legit after I binge I go 2-3 days where I cant sleep and i feel like dying.

The anxiety and helplessness is wild

Got some sleep last night after not sleeping for a few days and i feel amazing but I'm sure I'll be drinking this weekend :francis:


fyi....thats mild withdrawal symptoms

Ok brehs... who's with me. New years eve will be the last drink I have a for a long time. They say you can break a habit after 3 days, some say 3 weeks. It will be at least 3 months before I have another drink, if ever again. Who's with me brehs? Operation: Last Drink NYE.

My main issue is the “never drinking again” thinking as it seems so final. I need to take it one day at a time instead of thinking long-term. Easier said than done tho.

yea one day at a time and eventually you will be able to make longer commitments... im 2 and a half months dry and now i can believe myself when i say im going to quit for 1 year, 2 years, 5, 10 whatever... i rarely even think about alcohol now

You’re right. One day at a time is how I stopped for 5 months. I made a daily promise. Only worried about that day, everyday
