Just to be clear, when IS his performance (or a performance like it) acceptable/not acceptable? :patrice:

Is it that he shouldn't be performing like Bobby Shmurda at ALL in front of ANYONE or is it that he shouldn't be performing like Bobby Shmurda THERE at Epic? :patrice:

Had it been a room with LA Reid and a bunch of black execs, would the video have been a problem or do the white execs make the difference? If it had been all black execs and ONE white exec, would that have changed anything?

Let's say Bobby continues to blow like Kanye did and the fans at his shows change to younger white people from the suburbs (we know this happens), would the feelings about him doing the Shmoney dance change?

How do we feel about Kanye doing the Jesus Walks dance and all of the other antics he pulls off in front of his concert fans (mostly white)? Would they be less c00nish if the audience were black? :patrice:

Just trying to be clear on all sides here. :patrice:
You wasting your time breh...they too busy being outraged to think logically

I don't even really blame him, as much. He's a young naive dude doing what he thinks it's going to take to get him out the hood.

The disgust on my end is watching a dude basically dance around and recite ignorance ass lyrics about committing violence against other people of color, while trying to impress and earn the approval of a bunch of white people (and LA Reid), as a result of a certain corporate structure and environment that they have created. I dunno man, the visual of that is just disturbing.

But just goes to show how the corporations have taken a culture that started on the streets and hijacked it for profit and monetization. This whole charade is a result of the corporations systematically feeding us bullshyt ignorance and tricking us into thinking it's what we objectively enjoy. Sad part is, kids go around reciting these dumb ass lyrics all day and acts of violence and trapping are "cool" to them and it's something they aspire to emulate. Hip hop is the single most destructive force for impoverished minorities right now because it not only numbs them to the reality of their situation (the fact that the cards are stacked against them) and acts as a blindfold to what's really going on, but it actually has a whole generation of people WANTING to be the next Bobby Shmurda, when he's just another pawn used to perpetuate this cycle of ignorance. The hood's idolization of pop culture and hip hop is so dumb. These corporations gladly stepped in and obliged by essentially saying "well if you're gonna look up to these rappers and their music as heroes, let us feed you the most ignorant shyt possible from behind the scenes and that way they do the dirty work for us and keep you at bay in your little project tenement while you shmurda dance for some free government cheese and milk"

 :salute:

this is what this video is really about...it's not just him performing like an idiot for them. it's the picture being put dead in front of your face. allowing you to see the process that pushes ignorance out to the radio non-stop with nary a fukk given

The country of myself
Somebody needs to show him some old videos of minstrel shows.
Maybe that will have his ass rethinking dancing on top of Corporate room tables in front of several white people.

That wasnt the fukking argument you clown ass nikka.

This other fool over here is calling Shmurder an uncivilized savage who looks like a monkey in a zoo, when all it was, was a nikka doing a bit of extra in an audition. THAT IS ALL. All that other stereotypical shyt yall throwing on him, is some self hate reflection. Other artists do shyt in front of board members, white artists do their little spins, shucks, taps, some even suck some dikk, that has nothing to do with being a savage, thats them selling their own dignity and selling themselves.

does it look good, no visually it doesnt. is he c00ning, no, they didnt MAKE him dance on a table. Hes trying to add spice to his routine and flopping.

knock it off!

You the one mentioning all these other ppl. Not me. So dont try to run from it now uncle tommy.

you. stupid. nikka. we brought up other people because folks are talking about why is he dancing, does yelawolf dance, which we then respond with no, yelawolf is a rapper, not a dance rapper. any artist who is a dancer, has to dance in front of the execs. we can then use examples of those who had to dance and shuck. this isnt fukking rocket science.

nikka no one is running because you have no argument. :what:
