Teofimo hand-eye coordination, reflexes, and speed are elite. He pinpoint accurate with power too. That young boy a problem. Still don't know if he can beat Loma though. Muhfukkas hate on Loma but I never seen a fighter make other top or elite fighters quit back to back to back like that.

Right.

Teofimo is a sharp minded boxer, point blank, you nailed it with that description.

Agree re Loma and motherfukkers quitting. That shyt isn't normal. At this level (top line pro) you gotta have a lot of self belief to have got to where you at. But to have back to back to back top level pros not coming back out between rounds, and, not because of power, but psychological deterioration, well that's some special shyt. People gloss that shyt over sometimes.

yeah I only see Loma losing because Teo can land a game changing type punch, but Loma breaks dudes down mentally. I'm wondering if this shapes out to be like Mayweather vs Canelo

Teofimo Lopez: There's No Rematch Clause In Contracts For Lomachenko Fight
By Keith Idec

Published On Thu Sep 17, 2020, 08:23 AM EST

Whoever wins the Vasiliy Lomachenko-Teofimo Lopez fight won’t owe his opponent a rematch.

Lopez confirmed during a recent appearance on the DAZN/SiriusXM “Ak And Barak Show” that there is not a rematch clause in the contracts for their lightweight title unification fight. Ukraine’s Lomachenko (14-1, 10 KOs) and Brooklyn’s Lopez (15-0, 12 KOs) are scheduled to meet October 17 in a 12-round main event ESPN will air from MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas.

“There ain’t no rematch clause, and I know why,” Lopez said. “But it is what it is.”

Lopez didn’t elaborate on why there isn’t a rematch clause in their contracts. If Lopez upsets the favored Lomachenko, the IBF 135-pound champion will focus on facing someone other than the three-division champion in his following fight.

“We’ve gotta wait and see, man,” Lopez said. “Right now, it’s this fight and then, you know, I’ll plan it out afterwards, to see what we can do. You know? Whatever the future holds, you know, obviously y’all see that I’m not the type of fighter to just talk my stuff and not back it up, you know? And I step up to the plate all the time, you know? If you don’t like me, and I definitely don’t like you, we’re gonna make that fight happen. I’ll throw it out there. You know, I don’t duck or dodge no fighter. How do you expect to the be the best if you limit yourself? You know what I mean?

“How [are] you shorting yourself? Like, I didn’t need to take this fight. You know what I mean? I didn’t need to take this fight, but I wanted to take this fight. Not because of who I’m facing, but because of the achievements I’m about to get from it. You know what I mean? Becoming undisputed lightweight world champion. You know what I mean?”

Handicappers have made the 32-year-old Lomachenko at least a 3-1 favorite over Lopez. Nevertheless, Lopez is nine years younger than the WBA/WBO lightweight champion and the two-time Olympic gold medalist will end a 13-month layoff the night he enters the ring to oppose Lopez.

If he can't knock Loma out early this will turn nasty to Lopez.
He fends off of his bravado and confidence, Loma starting to style on him - which he will imo as he figures out Lopez who's more or less a stationary target with low activity - can easily suck the soul out of Lopez.
Lopez is the bigger guy, not sure if Loma can stop him normally but I either see a comfortably Loma UD with maybe some shaky moments early or even another no mas W.

Alex Saucedo vs. Arnold Barboza Jr. To Co-Headline Lomachenko-Lopez On 10/17
By Manouk Akopyan

Published On Sat Sep 19, 2020, 01:45 PM EST

The lightweight unification match between Vasiliy Lomachenko and Teofimo Lopez has found its chief support bout on ESPN.

Alex Saucedo and Arnold Barboza Jr. will meet in a junior welterweight showdown Oct. 17 as the co-headlining fight at the MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas, a source with direct knowledge of the deal told BoxingScene.com.

The 26-year-old Saucedo (30-1, 19 KOs) is a former world 140-pound title challenger whose only career loss came against Maurice Hooker in November 2018 for a then-vacant WBO title. After the setback, Saucedo switched trainers and has since scored back-to-back victories against Rod Salka and Sonny Fredrickson. Saucedo was formerly trained by Abel Sanchez but has since bestowed coaching duties on Pedro Neme Jr. and Eddie Autry.

The unbeaten Barboza Jr. (24-0, 10 KOs) is looking to set himself up for a world title challenge just as much as Saucedo. The 28-year-old, Los Angeles-based unbeaten is coming off a unanimous decision win over Tony Luis on Aug. 29.

The Athletic’s Mike Coppinger was first to report of the match being made.

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
I think Teo is going to win. :yeshrug:

Loma is fighting outside of his best weight class as we know. Hasn’t really looked P4P impressive in his what, his last three fights? He’s fighting a big dude that boils down to 135 with legit power in both hands, and Loma given his size and reach disadvantage is going to have to fight on the inside.

I think Teo is going to hit Loma with some shyt at some point in the fight, and that’ll be that.
