Since when did we start going by last 3 fights? Besides, Manny is about to fight again. If he fights and wins, he will be 2-1 in his "last 3 fights", what will be Floyd's excuse then?
"Needs to avenge his losses?" Why is Khan an option or Ortiz was an option or Cotto or Mosley or JMM or ODLH or Judah or etc?
"Last 3 fights?" Manny is about to be 2-1 in his last 3 fights very soon....just like Khan
"What does he bring to the table" Manny is a PPV fighter. He brings more money to the table than any fighter Floyd has ever fought.....even ODLH
There is no way someone can be comfortable with Floyd fighting Amir Khan, Victor Ortiz, and Robert Guerrero, but NOT fighting Manny Pacquiao
You sound like a fan of "boxers" as opposed to "boxing". Why wouldn't I be comfortable with Floyd fighting new blood and future faces of the sport? Outside of SRL round robin with Hagler, Duran, and Hearns who did he fight? Should boxing fans be comfortable with Davey Boy Green, Larry Bonds, Ayub Kalule, Bruce Finch, Kevin Howard, or Donny Lalonde? Get over yourself. The Arum propaganda has worked and that's where the props stop. This is called PRIZE FIGHTING! I don't understand why people get so worked up that business sometimes get in the way of fights happening. And quit talking as if Pac WILL win his next fight...the truth remains that he's 1-2 in his last 3 fights. His whole mystique was centered around beating Floyd and once JMM dropped him, most of his fanbase vanished as evident in his last PPV numbers. Half his fans are people who just want to see Floyd lose, not necessarily people who think Pac is a better fighter than Floyd. Like I said, Floyd legacy is set and people acting like he somehow has an incomplete legacy cause he didn't fight the guy ARUM said was his legacy maker is stupid. He's on his award tour! He's damn near 40 and he's cashing out. Pay attention to what he's doing. I doubt another black dude ever get a chance to fight Floyd. He's fighting guys with built in nationalistic rooting interests. Cotto and PR, Guerrero and Ortiz with Mexico, and apparently Khan and England. If he feels like it's better business for him to steer the promotional angle of fights, the under card, the salaries, etc and not have to give another promotional company a slice (Arum) regardless of how big or small it is...so be it. He's earned the right to do that. He wasn't always A-side. People forget that when Oscar was A-side, when he said jump, you said how high. And Floyd did what Oscar said too. Now all of a sudden, when Floyd is A-side it's a crime to offer $40 million flat. It's a crime to say we're fighting on this date. He's a coward if he say I'm not doing business with Arum (even though that's how he got his money fight and how Cotto got him). The rules haven't changed. It's just a new face and y'all have gotten real comfortable intimating that a guy who has fought world champions since the 90's somehow is a coward cause he hasn't fought Arum's golden goose. I wonder if you held the same disregard for Pac when he intially backed outta the Hatton fight of a few M's??? Every A-side fighter throughout history writes the rules.
