I think the thing that has many fans up in arms is the fact that "Dream Hampton" popped shyt without any proof. Then when both Stic.man and Jay say (enough with the exact words bullshyt) that they didn't ghostwrite for Nas she refuses to admit that she made it up.
Hip-Hop is one of the few genres where you are expected to write your own stuff or else you are not respected and deemed as "fake". This was a serious allegation. This is like the dudes who claim that Shakespeare didn't write his own shyt. That has been debunked numerous times.
I don't expect and anticipate Nas to have to respond to a glorified blogger that after a 15+ years career no one has heard of until she alleges some shyt without any proof. More damning is the fact that the parties involved vehemently denied her claims. She has no more "cred" than you or I.
Nas is a living legend. Every the contentious Wikipedia agrees. Of course a claim like this will stir the pot. Many uninformed people on Twitter will be lead to believe her claim was true. But hey...now she is known. She had nothing to lose. She gets a few more hits on her website and maybe pays this month's rent with that AdWords money.
The thing you guys have to start with is the question of "Why?". You have to question the intentions of people in this new age where rumors spread like wild fire. You personally aren't benefiting from this rumors but the person who started them is. Internet users lack the understanding that there is an economy beyond page views and mentions. Even The-Coli is ad supported and bytches if they think you are using an ad blocker.
I really don't need to defend Nas. His work speaks for itself. He has probably already addressed claims of ghostwriting in his discography.
"People fear what they don't understand, hate what they can't conquer. I guess it's just a Fury of Man".

Pretty much..and the fact she refuses to clarify what she really meant makes it even worse.
Also what makes it worse is that she is a "respected" hip-hop journalist..and her credibility is pretty high up there to the common hip-hop head. So when she dropped that bombshell of course your going to be like
But then when everybody from No I.D., to Clark Kent, to Just Blaze, to Stic Man, AND Jay Electronica debunked what she said. She still doesn't even admit that ..she just leaves cryptic tweets and goes about her day and blocks anybody that calls her out for the statement.
AND the REASON why she said it just leaves me ...just so she can defend ..and I mean she just randomly says that shyt and just moves on from the topic like it wasn't a big deal
Like ruining the rep of a respected Emcee is just a every day thing
What do these nikkas have against Nasir?...do they really hate the nikka THAT much....every time someone like Elliott Wilson, or Dream Hampton, or Toure or any "respected" journalist brings up Nas they always gotta give a back handed compliment.
On some shyt like "Yeah that boy Nas..yeah he in my top 10 and all ...but Hov skeeted in his baby seat "
Dream Hampton is just mad she ghost wrote a whole book for the camel and is still living off the dollar menu.
I seen stic.mans facebook page where he denied it, and even after denying it she continued to persist talking about she heard reference tracks where nas spit stic's lines "verbatem"(dumb ass broad can't even spell verbatim). She's just a jigga stan who happens to be a bullshyt journalist as well.
Chad Johnson needs to put his helmet on and headbutt this idiot.
If you believe anything the press tells you, you're not only a moron but you're gullible. Will you PM me your Credit Card details, I got millions for you in a Nigerian bank account breh breh. This JOURNALIST went as far as questioning the credibility in the lyricism of the GREATEST MC OF ALL TIME and you actually took a thought about it? Naaaaa B none of us fans even held our breaths, let alone breathe a, 'sign' of relief you spelling of a 12 year old bytch. All of us just waited for the truth and we got it.
I met Nas when he came over Big's house & played us a cassette of him freestyling. Dude rhymed for 17 mins. Nonstop. Before Illmatic. But ok

Jay asked me to introduce him to Puff. Did it. I played Hov Exhibit C, he told me to ask Elect if he wanted a deal. But ok.

I met Stic in Cuba, in a hotel room with Assata Shakur telling us about the night she was shot. But ok.
Didn't post in any of the threads because I knew for sure it was IMPOSSIBLE for someone to ghost write for a guy who wrote Illmatic and It was written.
I didn't believe for a second that Nas used a ghostwriter. But listening to that line in Uzi weighs a ton by Jay about putting seven emcees in a line and then listening to Nas line about 27 emcees on QGTM i definitely see some simililarities. Maybe i'm reaching and drinking the kool-aid but after hearing those songs with those lines back to back i must say i think Jay Electonica wrote at least QGTM. I mean the whole cadence and structure is some Electonica type shyt. And believe me when i say i don't want to believe it's true but them non answers nikkas giving definitely not helping.
