Okay, so when is the punch line era of Banks done? V5 or V6? Is V5 sort of a transitionary tape, or would the big Banks heads consider V5 and up all a part of the sort of style he has now?

And what's the order of the 5 and better series?

As far as tapes it goes Money in the Bank series, then 5 and Better series, then V5, V6, CC2, FNO, and HH2, right?
Imo its been done since return of the PLK. He let go of the punches after money in the bank 5.

I agree v5 is when he started this new style even though hes always been a spitter but "big bully" was another level:ohlawd:

Return of the plk
Halloween havoc
The Cold corner
4-30-09
V5

Then v6, cc2, hh2 are just sequels that dont fit into any series. FNO has its own series "all or nothing"

Damn Big Bully was so sick.

Okay, awesome! And maybe I'm wrong but it seems like on Money in the Bank 5 he was even letting go of some punches there too? Earlier I said V5 but I got those confused because they had 5 in them and I was tired.

Daps/reps to you and @Sonny Creems for all the info

Banks 2nd verse on that shyt is one of the best verses EVER spit by ANYONE:yeshrug:. That shyt was so fukkin good bro. I still play that shyt Everytime I get in the car.

That's how you know who's really a Banks' fan. T.O.S had some of his hardest bars #pause

Also songs like Close To Me show Banks ability to pen up a mainstream song. Aside from the politics, that song can be played on the radio.

I'm just glad that in 2015 that we still have true hip hop fans that appreciate bars/lyricism/intricate flow/double entendres/schemes etc.

That's one of the reasons why I fukk with battle rap so much is because it's mostly about bars. Battle rap fans wana see how dope an emcees pen is. It ain't about your car, your bytch, the club, your Twitter followers none if that shyt. It's about bars.

Like real talk brehs, the fact that this thread is still doin big numbers and the discussion is poppin means a lot taking into account the current climate of rap. :ehh:Bars and lyrics are somewhat overlooked.

Banks definitely brought his pen to this project once again, maybe even more than he did with FNO. The production is dark and it compliments Banks style to a tee. :ohlawd:

I've been playing this tape for a week straight and I can just press play and let the shyt ride all the way through:whoo:
