That n*gg* Kool Moe Dee said... "I don't get even, I get odd... Todd!"

Something about the "Odd, Todd" part was always funny to me. Kool Moe Dee killed LL with "Let's Go"

:mjlol: "I don't get even, I get odd... Todd!"
tryna be me now LL stands for: LOWER LEVEL, LACK LUSTER, LAST LEAST LIMP LOVER!

The Wrong Side of the Tracks
No one in that era thought that they were corny. Everyone loved them. Ask your uncles.

This is just some rap beef attempt to rewrite history that you know about.
Breh, words cannot properly express how corny some of us thought 'I Need Love' and 'I Can Give You More' were.....even to dudes that had girls at the time it got big!!!!

To this day, they make me cringe and are unlistenable. Rather hear this....

I'm an old head, I still have LL cassette tapes. Dudes are on wax taking shots at him for those love songs

Of course songs like ‘Radio’ hit harder

BUT

I’ll bet at a party you were trying to get your slow dance on to ‘I need love’ though.

That California Lifestyle ...

LL Cool J and Jamie Foxx fought on the set of Any Given Sunday, and LL knocked Foxx out cold:
  • What happened
LL says that Foxx asked him not to put his hands on him, and LL responded by grabbing Foxx's face mask and punching his chin. Foxx was knocked out and the cast and crew tried to break up the fight. Foxx filed charges against LL, but the two men are now able to laugh about it.
  • LL's account
LL says that Foxx had his helmet on and was turned to the side when he said, "I told you before. Don't put your hands on me. Period!". LL says that he grabbed Foxx's face mask with his left hand and punched his chin with his right hand.
  • Cast and crew
LL says that the cast and crew got involved to break up the fight, and even tried to attack LL in defense of Foxx.

If you’re over 13 in the 80’s and you never owned this record

That’s amazing

Yep.

People always talk about Ice Cube and Public Enemy's "The Bomb Squad" being the first time the East Coast and the West Coast worked together to make a classic album with Ice Cube's 1990 album "Amerikkka's Most Wanted". But it was actually LL Cool J and the West Coast producers, the "L.A. Posse" on LL Cool J's 1987 "BAD" album.

The beat and cuts and the scratching on the song "Get Down" from LL Cool J's BAD album was NEXT LEVEL. The "The L.A. Posse" killed that sh*t. There's no way Rick Rubin and Russell Simmons come have topped what the L.A. Posse did on LL's BAD album.

The "Do Wop" from the BAD album was the sh*t too. Dope old school sample, dope beat, dope scratching and dope storytelling.
