I live on a street that’s at the end of a long park, so I get all kinds of folks parking near my house. One lady in particular lives with several dogs in a 80’s touring van. She was parked there for a while then disappeared. I forgot about her until I started walking my dog in the park, she just camps out at different locations now. She’s been doing this for at least 10 years, so I can only imagine how disgusting the inside of her van must be.

I'm in SD right now, it's fukkin terrible. Just seen a cat at the corner of a bridge and cross street taking a shyt with his balls touching the concrete. There's also a bunch of homeless encampments spread around town too. I'm talking shyt I've only seen in movies in shows....

The trash ass BNB we were gonna stay at, but canceled: 850 sq ft, 3 BR 2B In the middle of Baby Mexico City, shoddy ass remodel with janky cheap everything.....house was on the market $700K +. shyt is out of control and is only gonna get worse in these next 4 years. We're on the verge of a housing market collapse on top of this recession

You'd be surprised how many Americans are one missed paycheck away from being homeless.

I was homeless after I got out of prison. During winter. Them shelters are worse than any jail, that's why a lot of people don't sleep in the shelters

And truth be told I don’t think most people care about being rich and want to be overly materialistic, folks just want some security aka shelter and be able to keep food in the house

I can’t think of a reason why that can’t be the bare minimum we all can get regardless of what job u got

Housing price is not real, it’s some overinflated shyt to rob people

Honestly we really need to be in the streets about that plus how they been doing wages for the past several decades

Yes. I live in NJ and there are increasing amounts of homeless encampments and I saw a single mother with 2 children come out the back of a cargo van near my parents apt. I am contemplating telling them to move out to the Poconos or down south. I'll even pay for the move.

I heard about it...some people find a reason to stay in jail because they homeless and would rather be in jail versus a shelter or homeless. Some dude I know who did 8 days in Va Beach jail for a hit and run told me about his experience.

Nah he was telling me about some of the others in jail and one white male there stay doing drugs and got caught with heroine in public and he homeless so that's why he there.

I experienced being basically homeless for almost two weeks. The most humbling and humiliating feeling ever.

I will NEVER look down on a homeless person!

Then it gives you a glimpse into a lifestyle. For some people, being homeless becomes a lifestyle they really...and I don't want to offend or generalize...but it almost becomes your accepted norm. It's hard to explain.

If you drive by any patch of woods now...there's some makeshift or even actual tents. I'm in Jacksonville Florida.

The city is ordering police to tear down the homeless tent cities that line the side of some roads downtown. I think the police complied a few weeks but they eventually give up.

The shelters have lines around the block hours before intake.

Shyt is depressing.

Not ashamed to say I live in my parent's old house. It's in great shape and would have went to shyt if I didn't take it over. It beats having rent or mortgage and considering this single father ish has me not working I know I could be in that boat. I'll always be thankful for what I do have.

Seen nikkas crying when they had loved ones die and couldn't get out to attend the funeral

Seen nikkas cry when they got kids turning 18 and they're stuck in a cell and can't do shyt for the kid....grown man weeping

See a smoker come in weighing 120 and blow up like Popeye is 3 months just off rest and food then get out and come back 6 months later back down to 120 looking sick again
