You can probably squeeze the person who deleted them to find where the order came from. It’s not like a bunch of random days got deleted. Only the ones around the insurrection.

so somebody knows something man.

If a Secret Service officer winds up going to prison over this... :wow:

Man, this is crazy. Im sure the Jan 6 Committee didn't realize how deep this thing goes until they actually started airing these hearings and roaches started scurrying for cover. :wow:

The frickin Secret Service let themselves get caught up in an insurrection against the United States government. ::wow:

Do you realize how insane that is? The SECRET SERVICE.

One gift that Trump has, and someone quoted him saying it... He told somebody that his greatest gift is that when people tell him what he can't do, he is able to strongarm them to get it done anyway. This dude corrupted EVERY sector of the US government.

He is like a real life Wilson Fisk in that regard, from s3 of Daredevil. Fisk corrupted the FBI and a prison. Trump corrupted the FBI (the entire Justice Department really), the Secret Service, the Supreme Court, Congress, and everything else he touched.

Dude is a complete IDIOT but he's smart when it comes to criminal behavior.

One day, if America survives this, and that's still a strong IF... one day, people will look back at this and marvel over how all these democratic institutions let themselves be entirely implicated in criminal behavior by an idiot madman.

This is bad. Every American institution has been tainted by this fool.
That hurt my feelings 🥲

They don't need him, but they definitely don't need him to get any crazy ideas and decide to run against them. It'd split their voting base.
Thing is they can't stop it. The vote will definitely be split and there is little they can even do to put it off. It's a sad situation to be in politically but it's a lick they need to take.

Republicans will do well at midterms but it's starting to look like the WH will be off limits for another term. Thing is I think they understand this. They were crazy abut getting those justices in before his term was up. I think they knew he was going to lose. I expect them to give midterms a lot of attention and be relatively meh about the election because there is no way to stop a vote split. It's guaranteed.

Oh, they definitely figured he would lose. That entire term was way too chaotic for reelection to be a certainty, but 2020 was the deal breaker for a lot of people. Their last hope was that the Democrats would just stick with the pre-established field of candidates, since all a lot of people needed was a stable and trustable enough personality on the other side to vote for, and they got it when Biden stepped in.

Either way, for the GOP, Trump was just a means to an end. They got what they really wanted out of the deal with being able to pack the courts, and lay the runway to cross some Supreme Court decisions off their wishlist. I think this is one of the cases where their "results over everything" standpoint is shortsighted, because they were seemingly the last people in the entire country that anticipated that he would find out he liked the position, and would try to hold on to it regardless.

Oddly enough, I also think there's a chance where they try to reverse Biden this shyt with Liz Cheney. Assuming Biden runs for reelection (which he really shouldn't, at this point), and Trump runs under his own banner, Cheney could potentially get a surprising amount of support. All those republicans that voted for Biden are DEFINITELY voting for her if she's an option.

My unpopular opinion? They absolutely will run Cheney. I think she is a surprise ace in the hole. Many folks look at me crazy when I say it, though. Or they ask who she even is. I don't see Biden running again. He served his purpose and he is just too old. Politically need someone younger from the Democrats.

Kamala vs Cheney would be a sight. But I don't believe Kamala will run. I think Democrats have something up their sleeve and are moving in silence.

A split vote hurts whoever they choose, however. GOP has less votes to go around every election. That is never discussed openly but I bet they chop it up behind closed doors. Texas is trending towards blue if you compare numbers. It won't happen for 3 elections minimum but the trend is clear.

I don't think they've strategized that far out. They need to get the damn "progressives" to fall in line like Republicans do time after time. And progressive voters need to learn to get behind them as well and stop expecting immediate change.
