this reverend need to GTFO. he's here solely to say "no checks". guarantee he'll push for checks to be sent to his church.

He just said "yes, cut the checks"....He's more there to talk about why "white people" should feel good about doing it. Because as soon as money is being talked about, and they are talking about giving it to black people, "white people" will be getting angry.

You must have not watched the hearing. They had a couple of economists, politicians, a writer (Coates actually did the best representing the case), and even a white lady from a slave trading family making the case FOR reparations. They did exactly what you mentioned. You obviously are not watching and just trying to create a narrative. Go look at the stickies thread on this. Almost no one is complainig except you idiots who obviously didn’t watch.

No, we are talking about the fact that a football player was there. Which is stupid as fukk

Coates is fine.

The fact the Yvette and Tone aren't there when they are the main reason why we are even at this point is stupid as fukk.

Y'all can sit here and act like this shyt is normal. When other groups of people get shyt done, they go get the actual people that are involved. They don't pull people out their ass.

Only person that was there that should be there is Coates and the slave trading family lady.

Darrity and Yvette and Tone and Coates are the ones that kicked this shyt off and should be there.

Everyone else is immaterial.

300 murders a year
Yvette haters we're yall at???

She and Prof Black Truth (Jason Black or whatever his name is this week) were right, these fukking hearings are a sham and a wasted opportunity.

I'm not impressed at all with the guests they chose to bring.

Wasting a lot of time on stories and bullshyt instead of cold hard data and demonstrating a link between racist policies and how blacks were prevented damn near every step of the way from gaining and keeping wealth after Emancipation.

:snoop:
but at least they got the shyt on the floor to be heard. its not going to be successful the 1st time around you want the nation to cut a check that large you might have to press them for years, but at least they got the shyt on a platform ,

you all got people with a hashtag popping on social media, that has already lost steam calling themselves a movement.

i listen to prof. black truth and jason black, but on this matter i dont want to hear shyt from neither of them, i dont even know what these nikkas look like, again they got shyt popping on youtube calling themselves a media, a movement. its nothing.

i cant respect criticism from personalities who aint doing shyt on the ground firing at people who actually get out the house thinking they have a right to because they get views and likes. you dont like what has become of the reparations conversation, then turn youtube off for a damn change get out in the public and shake shyt up that way. all i got from these nikkas is long ass conversations and videos.

he only said that to cover his tracks. He's said multiple time "it wouldn't be checks". He brought up that one specific example because he knows how c00nish he was sounding.

He's a preacher, so he's there to try to smooth over the reasoning behind all of this. He knows in the end, some form of payment can be made. Right now, he doesn't want the whole argument to start out about money.

The footballer is there because the republicans invited him as a witness. Do you know how congressional hearings work? Do you understand that there are republicans and democrats that compose congress and All these different committees?

The Dems couldn’t just invite who they wanted and not allowed republicans to invite some witnesses as well. So blaming Dems for the football player being there is stupid as fukk.

Yvette and Tone are responsible for the social Media awareness around this but they do not speak for every black person nor are they the only ones able to speak on this issue. They also had scheduling conflicts and wouldn’t be able to make it anyway. This aint about them and them not being there doesn’t negate the great points, speakers and arguments brought forth by the pro reparations people in this hearing.

Y’all mad at this hearing and you didn’t even watch it. Peep the live thread, people who are staunchly ADOS don’t have much negative to say.
