I think WR's are being a little overrated.

If you're weak at DT, O-line, Edge, or CB that's what you need to take care of in a WR heavy draft.

Then people keep projecting Bowers to get taken high. Look at Kyle Pitts and you can see that's not worth it.

Bowers is baby Gronk

If he hits, he'll be the best all around TE by Y3

Funny you say that. Pitts definitely hasnt merit #4 pick status, but I don’t think you can underscore how much of an offensive terrorist Arthur smith is. He legit had Pitts and Jonnu smith split targe:snoop:

Also fun fact w/Pitts, Pitts actually has been a historic TE.

1 of only 2 rookie TE’s over 1000 yards. And he has a career 13.8 ypc. That would qualify for 2nd all time to Gronk’s 15. He’s considerably ahead of the next guys Jared cook (:wtf:) at 13.1, Vernon Davis at 13…then peep the remaining order: Kelce, Kellen Winslow, Gates, Sharpe, Newsome, Graham, Olsen, Gonzalez :ohhh:

So with a legit QB for the first time Pitts may actually be what he was billed as. Now Top 5 on a TE hell no but around 10 isn’t too bad if you can afford the luxury

Hoping for either Legette or Coleman at 33…

Legette would be cool since my cousin used to be one of his rec coaches and has always stayed in touch with him as he got older…but Coleman feels like he can be a true #1 for years to come…

:mjlol:

Bears season should be fascinating to watch how all this tough talk towards Caleb evaporates after he goes out there throwing darts and for 250+ yard games regularly with multiple TDs

That’s the tricky part about lockerrooms. That legit may not matter. Players are weird like that. Fields was ass but they loved him. Russell Wilson is a borderline hall of famer but former teammates (and Sean Payton) strongly disliked him

They have to win, that's the thing. All that Hollywood shyt going to be welcomed if the Bears are winning and Caleb's bringing all that attention to the city and team.

The league don't respect California nikkas, particularly QBs, unless they prove it on field (like Stroud). Everybody knows they soft

That’s if he does that, that man gambles a lot and it’s cool against cal and Stanford, it’s not cool against a DC that’s spending every waking hour trying to study to throw the book at you, and when shyt gets complicated he starts fukkin up, essentially they telling him, if you do good talk your shyt, but don’t be coming in here acting big time and you ain’t did shyt

JF wasn’t ass, we let him down as a franchise

I like Bowers too, but man I think people forget the monster Gronk was at 6'7 260 lbs.

Granted, that's a lot different from blocking Ngata with a run play in that direction or a pass play, but nonetheless there's a clear difference in frame vs Bowers who's 6'4 240 lbs. Dude would get annihilated trying to block a 3-4 5-tech.

George Kittle is probably the best comparison.

That's why they had to trade Fields, you could tell the team fukked with him heavy. If Caleb struggled early you'd have a mutiny on your hands

Gave him a top 10 defense, potential all pros at DB (JJ) and edge (Sweat), #1 WR, potential top 10 TE, and a #2 WR who Kirk cousins just begged to make their #2, and drafted a year 1 pro bowl RT

I’m tired of that ‘didn’t help him’ narrative it needs to die

I don’t give af what our defense was ranked as, we gave up hella points and long drives

Sweat was a good edition and honestly the only reason the defense got better

Moore was getting doubled a lot

Kmet a top 10 :mjlol: maybe cuz the rest of the field is ass but he’s not top ten, mf went a season with like 1 TD 7 year before last

Who’s that 2 you speak of

And line play was so up and down,

Never mind we had an oc who though double screens was a great idea in the shadow of our goalpost

I’m tired of people being oblivious to the raw deal he got, could he be better sure did we help him, no
