It don’t make sense at all if we talkin present day Falcons

They only guaranteed the first 2 years of that 4 year deal to Cousins.. so who knows? Atlanta might let Pennix sit for this upcoming year, and move Cousins' (kind of) expiring contract for an extra pick next year? A team like the Jets (if Rodgers gets hurt again, or hangs it up) would be a team that would throw a pick their way. The Jets are built to win now.
