I was clowning my wife for watching this and fell asleep during the first two episodes. I know she was looking at me like when I binged the last few episodes

shyt grew like a fire that grows out of control. if there is a s2, it wont be in shaker.....but i thought from the jump that it was a limited series

Overall it was a good series. It was a battle of who could be the pettiest

Also, not every series needs to continue, and this is one of those that doesn't.

They pretty much wrapped up everything with the characters, and they pretty much are going their separate ways. With the story being centered around the neighborhood, it would be completely different with everybody split up.

She was so insanely sexy in She Hate Me and I Think I Love My Wife. Outside of those two roles, I can't think of another instance where I found her to be sexy.


It's the same way with me and Jennifer Lawrence. To me, she is sexy af in Silver Linings Playbook, but I've never seen her have the same sex appeal outside of that role. She's sexier in Silver Linings Playbook than she is in her literal nude photos.

Reese and the chick that plays Lexie play these characters so well that I may legit hate them. I’ve come across naively racists bytches like that over the years and my blood boils just watching them.

They captured subtle white racism so well.
Also, Lexi treats pearl how all white girls inevitably treat their black friends. The shadiness is so accurate

Kerry Washington’s acting is so overdramatic in this. That almost crying quivering lip thing she does is fukking irritating. She probably does it like a handful of times every episode.

She tends to act/ emote with her teeth it is really annoying.

I read the book, off bat this series isn’t as good, I’m not in love with the casting nor the way the lead actresses are playing elana and Mia (mia wasn’t this dry and serious in the book). I’m also puzzled as to why they gave the breh this big ass high top? they ain’t have no black person in casting to let them know nikkas wasn’t rocking high tops in 97/98


Edit: were Kerry’s teeth always this big? And they made Mia a bytch in this show, wow, that’s too bad, this is no where near her character in the book

Ehh, I get adaptations are just that, but they’ve completely changed the dynamics between so many characters that this ain’t the same story at all. Netflix would’ve done this better, they’re good at creating slow burns which the book was, they wouldn’t need to over dramatize the relationships between people to garner interest
