A certain somebody took all the momentum outta Jamla and now it's all about her. I'll be damned if 9th didn't let a whole crew fall off so some rappity-rap-rap b-girl can slur her way through 8+ projects.

And I like Rapsody, but the amount of weight 9th threw behind her makes me dislike her because she's not the franchise player he wants her to be.

:tuckerreally:
Exactly and that is one of the reasons why I don’t fukk with her. She is dope but all the resources were obviously put into building her brand, Remo alluded to this in his rant. My favorite out the current roster is still GQ, E 14th is a personal classic ain’t no way that nikka shouldn’t have a much bigger presence in hip hop

Yall not gonna hear the other side before casting opinion? I dont care regardless I just want good music, but it's funny to see yall boys gobbling whatever is served. They could be genuine, buts it's always more than one side to a story.
I been around since 2001 and saw about 15-16 sides to the story. Including my own. And it’s all the same story more or less. And my story doesn’t count for much but I remember the 2 of the 3 that didn’t treat me like I was nothing once I no longer had anything to offer them. :manny:

Edit: and for the record I’ve never said that on here ever and I STILL have have been a fan of dude’s music and I always will be. Even after getting burned. And still in all I try to look at the positives. I don’t know if that says anything bad about me but I’ll still always support Rapsody and whatever dude is working on. The positives still outweigh the negatives. But I’m not gonna front like I don’t agree with Tay and Pooh.

Idk that album Kaze did is one of my favorites in 9ths catalog
It is. I bet you didn’t know this but would you believe that’s a remix album? I guess that’s why I didn’t think of it as an original album.

:mindblown: It might as well be though. I do think he Re-rapped most of the songs over the new beats. It’s so fire. One of 9th’s best projects for sure. Kaze is mad underrated and one of the best human beings out there.

Originally it was called spirit of 94 version 9.0. Now it’s just called spirit of 94 and the OG is damn near impossible to find.

After the first two I wish Murs picked some beats because for about 3 albums straight the production 9th sit into motion were average to weak. Then on the final adventure or whatever it’s called the beats sounded better. Another note the albums with Buckshot were all fire
My exact opinion on all the Murs and Buck albums. I was actually bumping the 2nd Buck album yesterday. That’s the first album he made some beats on an MPC for. Still not sure which ones though.

It will probably never happen but I would have liked to hear what 9th submitted, for the most part(especially on The Listening and The Minstrel Show) I always felt like the shyt LB rocked over from 9th was very different from what he gave to other artists. He wasn't giving other dudes beats like Nightime Maneuvers, LB's sound was different.

If 9th wonder wanted to handle all the production I feel like they should have let him. Get back the roots and essence of the group. All those producers didn't help create the classics for you such as The Listening and The Minstrel Show...9th did that.

They made a classic without 9th though, he wasn't missed in my opinion :yeshrug:

Actually 9th didn’t create The Minstrel Show on his own. That was one of the sources of problems between 9th and Pooh and Te. 9th got a LOT of credit that he wasn’t deserving of and people felt like the “magic” of Little Brother was 9th when it was really ALOT of Te doing the heavy lifting.

This time. With THIS album, Te and Pooh did the heavy lifting together and the fact that album is getting so much love and attention is finally a testament the fact that 9th wasn’t the sole “maestro” behind Little Brother.

Like i said earlier, from all the interviews and stories pieced together over the years, it seems like 9th wanted to act as Little Brother’s RZA, when he wasn’t putting in RZA type work or dedication to the brand. That “im doing ALL the beats” mentality ain’t gonna work with two SELF MADE MEN like Pooh and Phonte. Pooh been grinding and doing entire projects with some of Hip Hop undergrounds finest producers. Phonte is one of the most purely respected MC’s ever to hold a mic. 9th didn’t have no five year plan. 9th didn’t spend YEARS in the basement of his house crafting beats and setting a stage for a Pooh or Te solo album, he didn’t even do that on Minstrel Show, and on top of that REFUSED to tour with them, on their MAJOR LABEL DEBUT.

I wouldn’t necessarily want 9th doing all the beats and getting all the praise either.

Pete Rock got albums like Deda & InI to back up the concept that he was the magic behind Pete Rock & CL Smooth.

9th has some cool projects, but nothing anywhere close to as good as anything he did with LB.

Listened to this again yesterday on the way from work. All good songs. No skips.

Been a Little Brother fan since The Minstrel Show dropped. My cousin put me on to them in 2005. I thank him all the time for that.
