GQ still is too.

That’s all I know for sure though. I do kind of miss the early 2010’s where it really did feel like a team, and everyone was on each other’s projects, and the production sounded really unique. I thought they did a really good job also of highlighting everyone’s different personalities

But definitely gone is Skyzoo, Remo, Halo, Tom Hardy, and Add-2. I’m not sure about Act Proof or TP. And on the producer tip I think Hi-Tek and Fatin are gone too but I’m not sure.
Shame about Add-2. Prey for the Poor is still in rotation :ohlawd:

I'm so confused about Jamla, and who is on Jamla, and who isn't, etc. I really miss Halo and Remo. They were the two most unique cats in the crew. I'm glad Act Proof is back though.

That last album and some bangers on it for sure.

yeah all those guys were dope. Wish they got more of a push. I still like that actual proof album that came out many years ago.

I'm with Phonte and Pooh 100% on 9th having to "earn" his spot back in Little Brother. Once 9th started blowing up, he kicked both them nikkas to the side and acted like he was too good to be with them.

It's like high school when you ditch your friends that's seen as uncool to befriend kids that are considered cool. That's basically what 9th did and even though alot of time has passed it probably still leaves a bad taste in they're mouths.

Also, learning that Phonte and Pooh weren't even close friends during they're early run, Little Brother could had easily broken up sooner than they did. It's a miracle they survived and even reunited.

This might sound crazy but I think if 9th Wonder did fully produced the album, I don't know if it would had sounded better than this. He's still a dope producer but there's plenty of producers that can do his style more justice than him and they did on this album.

I miss the early Jamla days when their roster was stacked. I really think they dropped the ball with Remo and Tom Hardy because they were the most unique in the group. In my opinion, Remo had the highest ceiling because of his content.

A certain somebody took all the momentum outta Jamla and now it's all about her. I'll be damned if 9th didn't let a whole crew fall off so some rappity-rap-rap b-girl can slur her way through 8+ projects.

And I like Rapsody, but the amount of weight 9th threw behind her makes me dislike her because she's not the franchise player he wants her to be.

Bro (and @Ian1362 ), Remo may not be your conventional 1-2 set 'em up puncline rapper, but he's got one of the most unique sounding voices ever, no one else has a flow like him, and his ear for production is damn near elite status.

His duo, The A.L.L.I.E.S. (with Novej) back in the mid 00's probably chose the best 9th Wonder production of ANYONE that worked with 9th regularly in the 00's (delectably even moreso than LB if you include all their unreleased joints). There are like 30 Allies joints that never came out with 9th production from 2004-2007 and they were the best 9th beats I think I ever heard. And they may have not been the most lyrical-miracle rappers but NO ONE sounded like them. I'm not surprised Dre signed them to Interscope.

Remo easily chose the best production out of anyone on Jamla's rosters if you look at his 4 projects on the label: Entrapment, Robinhood Ree, Sleepwalkers, and Untold Stories Hero.

Not sure what happened with Hardy. The Remo situation is a little more documented but I truly miss hearing that dude spit over especially beats by 9th, Eric G, Nottz, Khrysis, and AMP.

EDIT: It's fukked up that their fallout caused 9th to pull all of Remo's Jamla projects off streaming platforms.

I fukked with Tom Hardy's projects, the story of how even got down with Jamla was cool lol. But I also liked that he was a hip hop head, he put me on so much stuff on The Lawn

Yall not gonna hear the other side before casting opinion? I dont care regardless I just want good music, but it's funny to see yall boys gobbling whatever is served. They could be genuine, buts it's always more than one side to a story.

I’m not sure how much is serious and how much is exaggerated, but yeah they’ve both always said that they argue a lot and have a difficult time recording together, but that also it’s part of why they think they make good records.

I don’t know if this is what you’re referencing, but at least on their first few albums (and maybe later ones but I’m not sure) Murs would have 9th pick every beat for the album ahead of time. So Murs didn’t pick beats on (at least) their early projects. It was part of an idea where he’d force himself to write to whatever 9th picked for him.

Murs really likes working that way though, and was pretty adamant that he thinks most rappers should trust producers more than they do.

So if he does have any gripes with 9th I don’t think it’s about what I just mentioned. I only met Murs once and was never around any of their sessions but I do know they’ve both said they argue a lot in them.
After the first two I wish Murs picked some beats because for about 3 albums straight the production 9th sit into motion were average to weak. Then on the final adventure or whatever it’s called the beats sounded better. Another note the albums with Buckshot were all fire
