Threadstarter is being an obtuse idiot(like he usually does) for the sake of trying to get a thread popping. LB has talked about for years how Phonte was the one who created the song concepts, ideas, and themes of the album. Phonte literally writes sketch songs and ideas for TV shows, but y'all finding it far-fetched that he was doing the same for LB?? 9th wasn't there to record music after The Listening so who do y'all think was putting the ideas together for The Minstrel Show?

I mean..... I know folks are going to shyt on Pooh for the analogy, but there's more to an album besides beats and raps. Folks fail to see that there's structure of an album from the track layouts, the writing, and the driving force of direction to go with the album.

Hence why technically dudes like Puff Diddles, Dre, and etc. are often credit as the producer, versus the hitmakers and etc.

You can tell Phonte was the driving force behind most of LB's work, Foreign Exchange, and even his solo stuff because there's a certain flare and calling card to the albums. Like I can't put my finger on it.

Its like Diddle's produced albums have this cinematic soundscape, while Dre is more of a Michael Bay breh with explosive sonic production.

People keep thinking the orchestra doesn't need this breh at the podium:

Why are you putting a made up title in all caps :mjtf:

There’s no such thing as an oRchEstRatOr in rap

He was the rapper. Coming up with a hook does not make you a producer. These nggas itemizing. It’s like these new age chicks who on some ‘well technically I’m a chef bc I make food, technically I’m a maid since I cleaned up today….’ :beli:

Again there is no coincidence that every time this comes up it’s regarding a situation of fukkery. These nggas gettin petty. If you wannabe technical, every rapper who has ever intuitively changed a song or ad-libbed or riffed etc he has just produced. He is a “producer”. As a lifelong LB fan it’s a bad look for them to go the technical route and be this petty
These fat nikkas pouring syrup on shyt, calling it pancakes, and you really got dudes in here on some

Lmao @ this clown literally being a 13 year old fakkit, you remind me of when kids used to argue over their favorite wrestlers in middle school.

9th:
“So in the ‘The Listening,’ I incorporated that bit off ‘T.R.O.Y.’ because that’s my favorite rap song of all-time. That part at the end of ‘T.R.O.Y.’ I memorized. ‘Just listen, to the funky song, as I rock on, and that’s word is bond…’ I know all the adlibs. And I really liked the part that said, ‘Just listen.’ That’s why I named the album The Listening, and it needed to be the title track.

Most artists who are creating an album will work along with the producer to help craft the song. They might want to arrange things a certain way. It's a collaborative process but they don't get production credits for that.

This feels like another shot at 9th.

See through fakkit. You thought your failed Boxing takes was gonna make it's way to the Booth lol
I'm responding to the see through fakkit that is swinging from Bud's nuts in an LB thread, nikkas know you are a functioning retard in every forum you step in, do we need to pull up the posts of nikkas asking for your goofy ass to stop making threads? nikkas have been correcting you and telling you fix your comprehension skills for years, you would have thought you would have enrolled in a community college by now but here you are still being stupid.
