Spain (and France and Italy) have insane taxes on millionaires because their economies are in the tank. $326mil of that is going to taxes. That's why the overall number is so high, so that his pay after taxes is still big. He was making about 85mil a year. Still huge.

1. US has 40% tax and a bunch of other taxes such as state and property and until Trump much higher capital gains taxes than Europe, not far from 50% in total. Difference are the loop holes.
2. Is it because their economies are in the tank or is it cause they think rich people should pay more than poor people unlike the US with university not costing a leg and health care being free. Norway with no national debt and everyone is a millionaire has the same system.
