Imagine people calling LeBron the GOAT as he delivers a 2011 Mavs type Finals performance time after time in the NBA Finals.

That's basically what this Messi character is. He gets called the GOAT but then chokes in the world cup and other international competition time after time.

Leave lebron out of this
U shuldnt talk abt soccer , u dnt knw shyt abt soccer
Just shut the hell up

You don't see shyt like this on American TV. Enjoy the best media takedown of an overhyped athlete I've ever seen. This nikka puts Skip Bayless and Stephen A to shame.

This lil cac has been the most overrated athlete I've ever seen. Total media fabrication.

The best soccer player of all time is the Brazilian Ronaldo. The 2nd best is Ronaldinho. Nobody else compares.

GOAT argument aside...Do you think Messi is a good player?

Messi is gonna be one of the GOATs when it's all said and done. With that said, he's gonna be haunted by his horrible international record. His performance in the 2014 World Cup Finals and his bytching and retiring then unretiring afterwards was a very bad look for him. Especially when his rival C Ronaldo literally dragged Portugal to a Euro victory. Now Messi can't even get Argentina out of the group stages of this World Cup tournament.

He definitely will never be on Maradona's level (if you wanna talk about an Argentina player who had no help during the World Cup and still won, then Maradona's your guy). And quite frankly, I can't put Messi over C. Ronaldo.

Still one hell of a player and a living legend tough. But Messi has been exposed these past 4-5 years on the international stage.

:russ: casual fans, Messi was exposed ?:stopitslime:

this is what he did in the last game of WCQ, Argetina need to win to qualify for Russia in the country where Argentina never won in decades and down by one. This WCQ exposed the Argetina squad and his name teammates are overrated because they can't qin games without him:camby:

"Lionel Messi was directly involved in 47.4% of Argentina's 19 World Cup qualifying goals.

7 goals
2 assists
10 games

Gonzalo Higuain, Sergio Aguero, Lucas Pratto, Lucas Alario, Mauro Icardi and Dario Benedetto all of them combined scored only 3 goals

Messi missed 8 matches during the qualifiers and in those 8 games Argentina only managed 7 points. Argentina managed 21 of their 28 points in the 10 games that Messi played in and thus 75% of their points came with him on the pitch.

Cristiano Ronaldo in World Cup Qualifiers:
15 goals
3 assists
9 games

André Silva:
9 goals
10 games

now look who's getting more help :mjlol:

GOAT argument aside...Do you think Messi is a good player?

Sure he's good. He's one of the best at ball control and taking on defenders 1v1. Which is by far the most important skill in soccer. However, he has many weaknesses that make him overrated. First of all, he has no right foot. Being totally dependent on one leg is a weakness. He's also very one dimensional as a scorer. All he can do is play the ball on the ground. He can't play the ball in the air. Also for my taste he's not very charismatic or creative with the ball like Ronaldinho or even the Portuguese Ronaldo (who I'm not that fond of).

Lionel Messi reminds me of a soccer version of James Harden. Just as Harden is arguably one of the best one on one isolation players of all-time, Messi is also one of the best at taking on defenders 1v1 and controlling the ball. But just cause you're good at that one skill doesn't make you the best of all-time or even close to it. He has many weaknesses like James Harden has weaknesses which make them both very flawed players in my book.

Lionel Messi = James Harden

Kylian Mpabbe >>> Messi and Cristiano

This kid got next. He looks like a blend of Brazilian Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. Best player in the world right now at the age of 19. And will be challenging as one of the best ever before his career is through.

@Swagnificent Ronaldhino had more sauce to his game then any other nikka in history. He literally defined the barrio/ street game and showed it could dominate at the top level. He like A.I. the quintessential street nikka game:ohlawd:

Brazilian Ronaldo was a fukking predator:hhh: Automatic when it's just him and the keeper:mjlit:

Messi doesn’t even look like the best player on his squad. He should at least stand out if he’s the GOAT. Ronaldo stands the fukk out and looks world class even when he’s not scoring in international play.

I'm not even that big a fan of Cristiano but he at least looks the part of a GOAT candidate. He's athletic, tall, skilled, and looks dominant regardless of the stage he's on and what teammates he has. He also has very few weaknesses. You can't say Cristiano doesn't have a left foot. You can't say he can't play the ball in the air. You can't say he doesn't take on defenders. You can't say he doesn't pass the ball and find his teammates. You can't say he can't shoot from distance or off free kicks.

He a well rounded player who is good at everything on the soccer field. Messi on the other hand has several glaring weaknesses.

Exactly. Those two are the reason I started following soccer. Ronaldo because of the pure scoring dominance and Ronaldinho because of the flair.

The 2006 Brazil team was just GODLY. Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, Robinho, Adriano, Ze Roberto, etc. Black excellence personified. :ohlawd:
