have you ever tried to grab a cat that didn't want to be grabbed?

Sorry a lion jumping around slashing at a gorilla will not make him grabbing the lion very easy
Except that's not how a lion fights.

They latch on and try to suffocate prey or snap the neck. lions pouchs onto prey, they don't dance around like ali.
They don't swipe at prey like it's throwing a jab, they jump onto prey and use their claws to latch on while the go for the bite.

The moment it tried to go for the kill is the moment it gets hit or grabbed.

What angle could a lion bite from where a gorilla couldn't grab with its hands or feet? This isn't an animal that walks on four legs with a vulnerable neck and back area like most lion prey.

This is an animal that can break bones with a simple grab, and regularly uses Spears and big ass rocks as weapons.

And gorillas are fast as fukk breh, not faster than a lion, but this isn't a crocodile or something. They can run up to 35 miles an hour.

breh, you never seen a lion fight obviously. Go look up videos of two male lions fighting.

What you are describing is how lions HUNT not how they fight/defend. They do swipe and try grabbing a lion without it putting it's claw in you

It wasn't too much for a leopard to handle:ld:

Why are nikkas acting like they're Don King promoting gorillas?:what:
The leopard died

:stopitslime:

Why are yall so stuck on that article that mentions in the same article that's it's an EXTREMELY rare occasion that a leopard attacks a gorilla, and that they are unsuccessful MOST of the time, and that they would only ever try a young or injured gorilla?

Why not read that whole article instead of just that bit that breh chose to post to fit his narrative?

They fight other lions that way, not prey.

You see how close they are to each other? If you don't think that's close enough to get snatched by a gorilla then your an idiot. You really gonna sit here a tell be a gorilla woundnt be able to touch an attacking lion? you are assuming a gorilla is hella slow when in reality, they are damn quick.

Unless that lion gets the instant kill then it's getting handled.

on a serious note in a head up fight I give the edge to the guerilla, though I think they would both die, the lion would probably die first and the guerilla would bleed out next

but

in the wild lion all day everyday seeing those stealth kills by big cats in the tiger vs pit bull thread would have solid snake on some :ohhh::whoo:

And also a cat that didn't want to be grabbed is usually not attacking, it's fleeing.

It would be easy for a cat to escape my grip if I tried to catch one, if one was caught by an animal that's strong enough for a grab to be fatal that's another story.

And gorillas are fast enough to make that happen.

I doubt a lion is getting out a grip with 5000 pounds of bone breakig force behind it. And it damn sure isn't surviving a bite that's more than twice as powerful as theirs.

Agreed that lions would be the victors in the wild, but it would take alot longer to kill a gorilla that those small ass dogs that were dead in an instant.

Did you see how they would hold on till the dog died? How long would it hold onto a thrashing, scared gorilla? Would it escape unharmed? It would Not be all day every day.

breh,

the scenario is lion vs gorilla , why would you talking about how a lion hunts. If htey came face to face in a fight, the lion would be swiping. You must think it's very easy to grab a lion, don't care how quick you are. If a lion swipes a few times across the arm, it will render that arm useless.
Imagine some knifing your biceps when 5 razor blades....how effective will you be grabbing something?

I've seen this before!!! It's the GOAT lion documentary lions and hyenas eternal enemies. This also shows you don't underestimate a pack hunter's intelligence. They fukked that matriarch up and killed her successor over some territory beef. The hyenas got the fukk out when they heard the lionesses call their king.

The gorilla's throat is TOO BIG, TOO FURRY, and TOO MUSCULAR.
A lion's "cat" bone structure, on the other hand...like matchsticks wrapped in muscle and attached to bear trap jaws. It would get its body broken.

I think the fact that a lion is a carnivore is the kicker. Their nature is to kill, that's how they survive. Gorilla's are herbivores and only really turn up to show dominance to their crew... I don't know if they'd have the killer instinct that you need..

It's like sports, one guy has all the athletic ability, but no heart...

i dunno....this is a good debate IMO..

If leopards are known to prey on gorillas, I think its a given that a lion would take a gorilla.

Do Gorillas have enemies? - Berggorilla & Regenwald Direkthilfe e.V.

Apart from humans, gorillas don't really have enemies. The only predator to prey on gorillas is the leopard. Walter Baumgärtel found the remains of several gorillas after they had been killed by leopards in the Virunga Volcanoes. Another case has been confirmed in Gabon, where a sick young gorilla was killed by a leopard.

Were they tag teaming the gorilla?
