Wayne is in my top 5 rappers of all time... His fall off from his peak was significant though, and he gets judged on it more than others because he's had damn near a 20 year run of relevancy and it's kept him in the spotlight (as opposed to falling back and no one caring...like I got Cube top 10 and haven't even bothered to listen to a single album of his after WSC, let alone knock him for them)....its like Kobe when he kept playing after his Achilles tear for those last seasons and all the hating ass analytics nerds were falling over themselves to retcon his career... also was the reigning defending messegeboard Antichrist to rap smarks before Drake took the baton, so he has that working against him...

All that said, if you front on prime Wayne ...And he ain't have some waning gone with the wind type prime either...Talking like sqad era '01ish to No Ceiling '11ish... I don't respect your opinion

I haven't been a fan of Wayne since before he technically became "good".

I loved the HB's, I loved TBIH...then all of a sudden (Gillie) he started biting Jay Z and becomes this lyrical east coast darling...I got off the train right around C2.

Not to say he hasn't had good verses or songs since then but I just don't think it was a natural progression from shyt like this:

Like if Juvie all of a sudden started trying to rap like Nas I'd be like...:what:

Maybe I'm just being too nostalgic but whatever....I still don't appreciate that bytch ass nikka throwing drinks at him at the concert. Disrespectful little fukk, you bought the ticket, enjoy the fukking show or leave, don't muck it up for everybody. They should have turned his punk ass upside down and emptied his pockets.

True - I feel he fell off on C2, and dedication 2 was his peak.... drought 3 was good for coming back from all the ghostwriting/daddy kissing rumors and I was happy to see his commercial success that was rewarded from his work ethic with C3 but his best was C1

I said this would happen years ago and nobody believed me. :manny:

Wayne was dope at one point but when everyone jumped on his dikk (roughly around the time of "C3") was ironically when he was the worst. Up to that point. And he only got worse after that.

He really is a martian and out of this world because his career is just like that.

The fact that when he dies he will be crowned the GOAT of the millennial generation says alot about the trash rappers my peers had in the 2000s. He is a singles rapper and none of his albums are on a high level at all. Dudes know this that is why every Wayne fan loves to bring up those Drought Mixtapes to justify how ill he is. Cause they know he is wack overall.

Look at this fool above me that just compared a song like Dr Carter" to I Gave You Power by Nasir Jones...you see this nonsense?
