the only thing i didnt like about the movie is how fast they just took these girls from average bytches to super stars with no real transition, or moments of "we made it". it was just kinda like "ok heres the movie" and thats it. also please dont overrate lil mama as left eye, she was "OK" but i feel like any basic bytch couldve pulled that role off.

is that their real twitter?

lol. I bet master p was smiling his ass off watching that scene.

they prolly side-stepped him because if they mentioned his name, he would be doing an interview right now concerning that chit and prolly putting chilli's business out there, and joking about beating up usher.

it would be classic. i'd like to see him clown mack 10 again as well. t-boz owes suge a debt of gratitude since he apparently sonned both of her abusers. he single-handedly ended jodeci.:laff:

the problem is, nobody wants to see a movie about them niccas.

nobody wanted to see a TLC movie? you buggin. I can see that youre not really an r&b guy. lol.

I guess I used the lipstick alley term wrong. im not saying that the chit about aalyiah aint true. im just saying that its the type of stuff that gets talked about on those forums. no way a biopic would get based off of that.

im sorry, but the aalyiah scenes youre describing sound dull as f*ck b. that chit aint even after-school special material.

and she was never as commercially viable as brandy. nowhere near.

me too, but I cant see lil kim calling somebody else crazy.

unless maybe she was mad that left eye merked her on her own chit?

don't worry, im sure lil kim attention-whoring ass saw the wig and is probably on twitter or something preparing a statement about that scene, saying it wasn't her and calling out the directors.

the funny thing is, the movie came off as if they basically traced their "behind the music" special and turned it into a flick.

I had just watch their behind the music right before the movie.

yea, keke is a lil too big for this role. that queen latifah connection at work.

yea, I cant find the full movie either. vh1 needs to put that movie back on tv now.

meh. t-boz was the toughest role to play. and they had to give drew sidora one of those nicki minaj skin-lightening jobs.

drew sidora is something like a dimepiece tho. she looks better than keke palmer in real life actually. NO CONTEST. and she has a sturdy chin.

Hll no nobody was askin for a TLC movie, when they heard about I'm sure folks was like "oh yea TLC was cool, ill watch that"....but Aaliyah fans been wanting a movie for a decade:sadbron:...you don't understand the obsession is just different.

You fail to factor in shyt that you can't messure just off sales....how much people connect with your music can't be measured by just sales. Nelly is bigger than Lil Boosie ever has or ever will be commercially...and his movie would make for a helluva story....but is anybody really trippin over a Nelly movie if that nikka died right now:comeon:....folks ain't bustin ya head if you say something bad about a dead Nelly:heh:,say something bad about a living Boosie and these lil nikkas get hostile...Lil Boosie connects with his fanbase even tho his prime vs Nelly prime the success ain't even close.,some nikkas just make hits..

That's why you can't compare Ciara, maybe had she died in her prime she coulda had aaliyah status....but she lived to get thrown in the bushes by Keri Hilson and Rhianna with the quickness....even while Aaliyah was living she never got thrown in the bushes by her fans like Ciara did...they just loved her in a different avenue(movies) until that music got back in order cuz so many other chicks was killin.....problem is your a numbers guy so you can't see it maybe:pachaha:

And you can't just say its death that gave her that connection, music did that....there's a reason Biggie and Pac ain't the same thing, people didn't connect to Biggie through his music like that. Mac Dre got that kinda fanbase though, probaly not large enuff for a movie but maybe one day.:ohlawd:...certain shyt just can't be measured bruh:manny:

But yea back on topic since aaliyah bogarded this thread lol, that's definitly why they sidestepped Suge...u know damn well folks would be asking him for quotes right now and he'd be givin us classics:laff:.

And how much of this movie was over the top?was Pebbles really that bad?I mean its hard splittin money 3 ways and if you bad wit money:manny:....this is before ringtone sales and shyt..

Pebbles was ruthless, they've said this in multiple interviews. But their situation isn't unique, it's sad to see that most the r&b acts, especially groups who sold well in the 90's and did ok touring, seem to be living average lives like any other person, they had terrible contacts and came along before the endorsement era got big and before artists had more control over their contracts.

I'll Keep It Real I NEVER Saw Anything Great Talent Wise About Lefteye, The Great Thing About Her Was She Was An Entertaining Personality

Her Look, Her Relationships, Burning Down The House, Challenging Her Group Members

You Cant Even Hear Her Voice On 80% Of TLC's Music

left eye was the star of the group.

and are we gonna act like left eye didn't hop on tracks and merk 90% of the crowded female rap scene at the time?

I remember back when I was 15-16, I had a summer job working as a Skycap at LAX.One of my supervisors was telling me and a few other guys about some of the crazy shyt he'd witnessed while working there.

He told us he remembered seeing Dalvin(Jodeci) and T Boz get into a fight right in the middle of the Airport lobby. He said Dalvin grabbed T Boz with both hands and slammed her up against the wall.Had her hemmed up and clutching her throat Dead Presidents style
dead-presidents-choke-scene-o.gif

Beyond that, I heard Left Eye had some :wow::ohlawd::banderas: p*ssy.

My cousin was boys with this producer from the ATL.He wasn't from the ATL, he was really from Los Angeles, but he was back and forth a lot.

Dude claimed to have got a piece of Left Eye at a party in Atlanta.I just remember him talking about how she was tipsy and going on and on about how good the p*ssy was.He said it was the best he ever had...he was hyped "EVER kinfolk, EVER"

That was like late '93.They were blowing up, but it wasn't "Waterfalls" level just yet.

I didn't really pay it no mind.I was all about T Boz back in them days.As I got older, I started thinking Left Eye was cute as fukk, though.

I watched the movie and passed out during the replay.TLC was in my dream last night.T Boz and Left Eye kept trying to roast me, but it was that "Only doing it to mask the sexual tension" kinda roast:shaq:

LOL. I REMEMBER THIS STORY. I JUST DIDNT REMEMBER WHO POSTED IT. I was waiting for this story to be posted in here. yea, good ole left eye with the killer puss.

I never knew dalvin put hands on t-boz. crazy how she aint get her ass beat all movie. mack 10 didn't do chit in the movie but smile.

Like When Suge Knight Was Buying 2 Pac Cars And Jewelry All Under Death Row, He Basically Lent Him All That shyt lol

man. that's even worst cuz that dude reggie wright said that they were giving pac crazy money to walk around with on like a daily basis.

imagine how much worst tlc's debt would've been If pebbles wasn't so tight with the money.

Actually, Pac told Left Eye NOT TO LET HIM HIT.He told her if she let him hit, he was going to look at her differently.

I guess Pac saw some potential in her and wanted to take her seriously

Sounds like some shyt that a nikka who made "Keep Ya Head Up" would say:pachaha:

sounds like jada pinkett saying that pac never tried nothing with her.

I don't want to hear anybody call pac a hypocrite again.

GOAT R&B song of the 90's :wow:

I still :noah: at the 0:59 & 3:45 marks.

:noah:

I Know "Aint To Proud To Beg" Was Their 1st Single But This Is The 1st TLC Video I Think I Ever Saw, Something About It Is Mesmerizing
its mesmerizing because its a classic beat, lyrics and the video is full of colorful 90s urban fashion and nostalgia to our childhood
brings a tear to my eye breh :to:
both the music and the video are extremely mesmerizing.
and yea the colorful '90s vibe.
but best of all, you cant chalk it up to just childhood nostalgia. '60s babies were rockin to that chit hard and still do. a real legit classic.

I Dont Care About Either One Of Them :heh: Its Just Fact That Their Popularity At The Height Of Their Career Is NOT Comparable

aalyiah & ciara's popularity at their peaks are extremely comparable.

the only thing that isn't comparable is your mindframe during those different time periods. you'd see better if you took your childhood nostalgia shades off.

keep in mind, im not saying that Ciara would be big at all if she came out in the '90s, if that's what youre thinking.

Pac ain't slick,he probaly just saw potential in them 2 and knew he wasn't through bullshyttin and fukin bytches yet so he was savin em for later:heh:....Jada and Lisa are those intelligent women with potential once they work they bird ways out as well...then you come back and scoop em up later and be like Ozzy Davis and Ruby Dee:pachaha:...my nikka laid his plan out on Different World which seemed very much like Jada wrote it and based it on true events:laff:

Good to see tlc managed to not be homeless and stay above water....chili had them child support payments...tboz probaly got some money off Belly and Mack 10 a hustler

nah. you gotta feel that pain son.

it takes a certain type of chick to pull that off.

I was telling yall from jump that lil mama was perfect for the role. but dudes wanted random prissy light-skinned industry chicks to get casted. they were idiots. im bout to upp that thread and take another victory lap so they can all kiss my ass.

aaliyah didn't bogard this thread. I did. and again, I apologize for it.

i'll respond to this aaliyah comment in here because it concerns TLC and its blasphemous on your part.

nobody was asking for a TLC movie? stop it dog. you the homie and all, but between these and that ginuwine comment, you clearly aren't much of an r&b guy. you the homie tho but dam.

and im sure you know by now that im the absolute last one of this board to base chit off of sales & commercial success. cmon man, this is @Homeboy Runny-Ray that youre talking to here.

the idea that fans had a greater connection and obsession with a living aalyiah over TLC is beyond laughable. im not sure how old you are but aaliyah wasn't even mentioned in the same breath as TLC in the '90s dog. like I cant even respect that chit you trying to say right now. TLC was on a whole different level than aaliyah. like we said, aalyiah wasn't even in the passenger seat in her own lane, let alone the driver seat. how you bigger than TLC and you not even seeing monica & brandy? nicca puh-lease. TLC were true icons in every sense of the word. in the hood and commercially.

aalyiah didn't get thrown in the bushes before she died? that's a dam lie. I was there. I saw her get pushed. the thing is, it gets brushed under the rug because she died just 2 months later and the very same album that was cold, had instantly warmed up because of her death. if nearly 2 decades of Michael Jackson ridicule is instantly forgotten once he died, then 2 months aint chit.

and yes, Ciara is a better comparison. I don't think yall realize how big Ciara was 10 years ago. its on par with aalyiah at her peak. if Ciara died before she switched production and dropped that 3rd album, and if the media got behind her death like they did with aalyiah, it would be the same chit but different toilet with the early 20s crowd. I still give the slight edge to aaliyah because she crossed over better, but theyre in the same vein. 2 non-singing singers who were held in high-regard by young females and relied too heavily on their producers & writers. their career expectancy isn't long dog. the writing was on the wall for aalyiah by 2001.

Cot dayum at the bickering in this thread.

oh you know its going down when in the thread.

Pac ain't slick,he probaly just saw potential in them 2 and knew he wasn't through bullshyttin and fukin bytches yet so he was savin em for later:heh:....Jada and Lisa are those intelligent women with potential once they work they bird ways out as well...then you come back and scoop em up later and be like Ozzy Davis and Ruby Dee:pachaha:...my nikka laid his plan out on Different World which seemed very much like Jada wrote it and based it on true events:laff:

lol @ you quoting pac from "different world". I saw that chit coming a mile away.:laff:

this is why I fux witchu even tho you post like youre on xanies(sp?) half the time.
