That’s all you had to say. You the type that’s vouching for an innocent body being a “point” on the scoreboard. I forgot you the Chicago Gangs guru.

Keep watching from your IP son. You watched too many mob movies don corlieone.

You got it doggy

We need to revise the education system because you guys conflate someone telling you the truth/how things are with “vouching for it”. It’s so unintelligent.

I’m telling you that there’s no reality in which “it doesn’t count as get back unless you kill the trigger man” is a thing. Maybe in your neighborhood, everywhere else - the likes of Durk and his affiliates will drop people around you then jump on tracks/IG saying they’re smoking on XYZ pack. Thats the reality. It’s cataloged.

You can’t come in this thread writing some comic book shyt like “it don’t count as get back because they didn’t get the trigger man” and say I’m the one that watches movies.

Durk is on camera implying action was taken. Months before this indictment, a Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crip was on camera telling you - “you can’t say OTF didn’t spin any more”. The people involved have communicated the rules of the game they play to you, but you’re on here talkinbout some “it don’t count. run the play again” and getting mad at people for telling you to stop ascribing principles and ideals to wanton violence.

And for what is worth - I’ve been on this site 10 years longer than you, yet you have a third of my total post count, but clearly I’m the internet guy :mjlol:

Yup, I’m 27 so I’m familiar with everybody from the blog era to the SoundCloud/TikTok/Drill era.

I made a post on Twitter the other day saying the 4 biggest rappers right now are either 40 or pushing 40 (Drake, Dot, Cole, and Future).

That’s….not good. They was hot when I was in middle school and I’m pushing 30 they still on top because they got no one to pass the torch to.

Yes, there’s still good rappers, there will always be good rappers, but guess what? There’s also good rock bands too but the genre is considered dead. Hip Hop has always had superstars, and the genre thrives when there are new superstars, the problem is, due to all the fukkery in the lasdecade, the 4 guys on top right now might be the last of the rap stars.

Sucks too cause other genres got their stars lined up, country got Jelly Roll and Morgan Wallen, pop got Billie Eilish and Sabrina Carpenter, what does Hip Hop have? Every guy that’s supposed to be next gets their career cut short or they just prematurely fall off.
Because the music these guys make shouldn't fukking exist, when our ancestors were surviving slavery and then the time period after that, they were not holding on for mf's to be in the hood. Now I know that's a complicated thing because of how implicit our government was in creating these ghettos, but still, to be frank gangster rap and things like it were not supposed to be created by our people. Rnb, soul, true hip hop, blues, rock, house and the like, that's the music we should have, that's true black music, this hood shyt is really cac behavior if we being frank, that hyper self destructiveness comes from them and how they run all their countries and colonies into the dirt from greed sex and violence.

torch could've been passed to so many other rappers but all anyone wants to fukking hear are sex and drug addicts

i don't care about none of these street rules but nobody automatically assumes their homie is an informant.
Which is why I said nobody learns shyt

Nikka if you out here doing dirt, especially to the degree of calling hits on nikkas all bets are off as far as assumptions:mjlol:

We not talking about a nikka working at the bank:russ: Dwight that works at Wells Fargo shouldn't worry about one of his friends being an informant.

But if you a nikka involved in dirt, you should expect dirt behavior around you:manny:

Mind you these same rappers stay having bars about "Nikkas switched up on me" "Feds watching, tapping my phone" and all that:mjlol:

No he beat because a cop actually shot von not him.
Not true

You can't shoot at someone unjustified and expect not to be charged because your bullets didn't hit.

The charges were dropped because it was self defense. If it wasn't, he would've faced some type of assault/ attempted murder charge.

Edit: actually he would've been charged with the murder even if a cop killed von if he wasn't acting in self defense.

When you run across guys like Bricc and Durk in real life, the energy is different and everybody reacts differently. Me, them, everyone...

Obviously I don't have the money to bring in a room with Durk so take that away, we not talking money cause Durk isn't some big money nikka before rap anyway...

I've been in many situations of guys trying to impress me, I've talked about this before. I talk, I listen, but our affiliations are minor. I have no reason to associate deeply with guys who gotta prove their gangsta to me. I'm not interested in that, as soon as I see that I know this is a guy who will do dumb shyt to prove he's a tough guy...

Not a guy who is organically tough...

So you let those guys do what they do, if you see em, quick acknowledgements maybe, small talk, but I'm not in their lane or business and I don't let them in mine...

nikka telling me about all the nikkas he's gotten clapped, all the shooters he got around him, because he knows I'll peel something. This is essentially what Durk does on a larger scale. It's what Bricc does. Or a nikka telling me all the work he got because he knows I'm a dealer. This has happened way too many times...

Let them guys do they thing, stay out they way. These guys are dangerous and what has ultimately happened to Durk now, is what happens years ago if he's this same personality without celebrity saving him from consequence...

durk is like 5`8 150 on a good day. game twice his size.

thats in a LA club 2.

I think we gotta realize that this logic and code and just how to move period is not onky hard as fukk these days but it's ABSENT amongst the majority of street cats if not all especially on the lower level.

When I say street I mean a person that's of or embodies the drill or current rap culture.

The gangster/a element is gone. The only thing that's making em that is the $$$$$$$. Otherwise they operate like thugs/street punks, and that's all across the board (no :mjpls: just real shyt and in terms of a hierarchy)

@re'up @murksiderock

I get where y'all coming from and the dialogue and perspectives is dope, but ultimately that's what I've come to realize looking at this case and a bunch of other ones

Durk don't really give me them "I did this, I did that vibes", personally. Obviously the music is one thing. And to me, that come with being apart of the drill culture, PLUS being of age where it's "art" to put the shyt in music and live ya raps. Difference is now shyt is obviously amplified. (Not caping...with age, I've tried to put myself in people shoes and not apply my way of thinking or morals to it if I'm looking to understand objectively)

But as far as trying to impress brehs in real life with his war tales I think that's unnecessary because his story and rep precede him and was watched in real time. Him and the rest of the Chicago drill nikkas is the modern day OG'S to the industry and street nikkas brehs.

Not to mention, the industry in recent years been rolling out the red carpet for dudes thats "with the shyt" or super close to the elemnt... "Talented" or not... Casanova, Smurda/GS9, Doeboy, 21 Savage, Durk, etc. Some obviously more successful than others, but it's the clout and open arms aspect of people flocking to them, more so than them trying to oversell it.

I would go even further, and say not just this type of street, or that one, or even 'street'. just people in general.

You start sounding like real and burned out, but I see the difference in all walks of life of people. You have people who are delusional enough to sell fentanyl pills to their own homies. You have 20 somethings dressing like narcos in Gucci shoes with no re up money and a Coach man purse. These kids are so grimy, they will jack random strangers on snapchat meetups. Advertise on Tik Tok, shoot at someone over a $400 sale. Like Pooh Shiesty. These guys are 35 and don't know anything about the game.

but if I was taking it away from criminal life, it's obviously just impacted society as a whole. Everything as content, everything framed for social media and refracted through crafting personal brand.

Hip hop is about to experience a makeover, watch, in the next year or so. There’s gonna be a concerted effort to do away with this overly-violent, 187, idiot energy. And it’s gonna work because I think the higher ups are gonna push for it. Sad it took so many years and deaths and indictments for these dikkheads to realize something needs to be done..
You remember when Biggie died they said rap was done and was gonna be no more because it was so violent. And say what you want Puffy lowkey saved hip hop with that shiny suit R&B lane he had.

One of the shooters locked up lived in Gary Indiana and was headed to court in Indiana for an old gun case when the feds grabbed him.

Durk got one of shooters living in Gary?

Nah Gary is basically an extension of Chicago. It’s way more Bulls than Pacers. A lot of people either from Chicago move there if things get too hot
