Who cares with all this chatty patty revisionist history y'all doing.

Bottomline: pac knew it wasn't bad boy that sent the hit.
His ire was clearly misdirected.

Let's not muddle up something so simple with all this misdirection plays

I laughed at a joke. Didn't say the joke. But I'm the one you mad at...nah B.

No wtf is wrong wit y’all

it’s a song. Biggie made violent music. It’s nothing in the song that is directed at Pac. This is worst than beefing of over ‘money spreading’.

u got to mentally retarded to agree with how Pac started his beef wit Biggie

How many of Biggie's street songs made it to the radio? Waring is the only one. on that type vibe. Ish wasn't even on the album. Puff knew what he was doing...releasing it as such just to capitalize off what was brewing. It wasn't a few months that it was released, it was maybe a month. It was on the underground radio before the year ended...and heavy rotation by January on same radio shows.

I think it was officially released later though. Ain't it a B-Side?

Only ones being revisionist is the ones excusing Biggie and Bad Boy for everything they do.

Mad people in the streets felt it was a Pac diss. People in jail felt it was a Pac diss. Some of Biggie’s peers felt it was a Pac diss. But somehow Pac was buggin for feelin like how damn near everyone else felt. Lol
They thought it was a Pac dis because Pac had already falsely accused him of being involved. So he drops the song and some people think “oh Pac must be right”

In 1995 Biggie was still promoting his debut lol
It’s not like he was 10 years deep. Big died 4 years in man.

Biggie barely made records. So if something fire. Might as well put it out instead of sitting on it. Being his next album was even thought of. The way y’all talk. It’s like y’all never wished it was released.

matter of fact. If Big never release this record. Do him and Pac have their beef?

Pac didn’t actually accuse Biggie of anything at that point. nikkas really don’t remember the specifics of that Vibe interview.
Nobody associated the shooting with the song until Pac said something. Why would they? As far as everybody knew, BIG and Pac were boys.

I'm asking why drop the song two months after the shooting? I'm sure Big wasn't responsible and all that but I do think that was foul on Bad Boy's part dropping that song so soon. Especially how it comes off in the media and the streets. It's not like we knew all those details back then. They simply wanted to capitalize of Pac's shooting. But that's suppose to be his friend right?

Exactly, to use an office term, it's the appearance of impropriety. Meaning there may have been no ill intent on BIG's behalf, but the appearance of it can be just as destructive - had there bad intent.

I think it's moreso just the timing of it. Even if you go back to 95/96, after people found out was was recorded before he got shot, it's still the timing of its release. It's just too soon. And Puff didn't release it officially until after it was already bubblin on the streets.

I think that record cemented the end. Because no matter what, it still comes across as a mock. One could've been like, well, the record old but them talking about gettin me is old too, so they could've inspired you to do it.

But the nail is the Get Money remix, which EVERYONE called a dis...even after half the public had already dismissed Who Shot Ya.

Like I've said before; once Pac was told to his face Big/Stretch/Bad Boy had nothing to do with the Quad, it should've squashed everything. With Who Shot Ya being released, it was just another hot song with the content Big always did
