That’s not why the movie is underperforming, I really don’t think most families care about that. I’m sure this movie will do great on Disney Plus. The loud ass kids in the theater we attended were very receptive and SO fukkING LOUD. They enjoyed it.

The movie has been banned in 10+ countries (Because of the lesbian kissing scene). That's cuts off a huge portion of their money

Someone did a pretty good analysis on why the kissing scene might’ve done it.
we have to remember the average person reads headlines and that’s it. I bet most of them thought they made buzz gay
personally i feel no one wanted this except for bob chapek and the Pixar toy division.

I think Pixar wanted to have their cake and eat it too.

Ain't no way this is a movie a kid at Andy's age would stan over :mjlol: A movie kids would like? Sure. But a movie where Buzz would become this huge deal to kids? No way. Motherfukka playing with Mr and Mrs Potato Heads but is also stanning a damn near adult movie in Buzz Lightyear? :russ:

The movie itself was good though. I enjoyed it. I just think they could have promoted it as a re-imagining of Buzz's origin rather than act like this is the movie Andy fell in love with. Plus, wasn't no gay scenes in kids movies in 1995 lol

it raises more questions when they try to do this.
if this is the movie Andy saw why was Andy ok with an off version of the movie buzz? Toy buzz looks like the fisher price version compared to this one.
and why are they selling a light year buzz toy in real life if kids should want the original buzz light year toy :dead:

While the visuals were nice, this felt very uninspired for a Pixar flick.

Andy wanting to buy a Buzz Lightyear toy immediately after watching this doesn’t even surprise me, but I’m sure the adult version of him is reflecting back on this shyt with massive viewer’s regret.

Story is ass and the robot cat had more of a personality then buzz. Pixar with another miss.....how their character do something for 90% of the movie, but suddenly changes his mind.......and the lesbian scene was so out of place.....where that boy papi at.
