I don’t understand why this A good idea stemming from a franchise that prints money. It's what current Hollywood is built upon. That being said, this was a good ass movie. Me, my wife and my kids all loved it. And my wife came into with a similar idea of why is it being made. Lately I'm enjoying way more kids movies than movies made for adults tbh.

Just saw this
Movie was solid but tone felt a little too heavy for a kids film to me.
Sox was the MVP but it felt like it was missing that Disney lightheartedness for a lot of the movie. It picks up a lot towards the middle though.

The Zerg twist was interesting. Sox kinda stole the show

The Zerg part was interesting because in Toy Story 2 there was the Star Wars moment where Zerg tells Buzz, “I am your father.” And my nieces and godson all want a toy Sox. I kinda want one, too.

That’s not why the movie is underperforming, I really don’t think most families care about that. I’m sure this movie will do great on Disney Plus. The loud ass kids in the theater we attended were very receptive and SO fukkING LOUD. They enjoyed it.
