Reminds me that I need to learn how to use my guitar - it's been collecting dust for months :francis:. I can play a few chords on it to be fair but my strumming/picking sounds like a cheese grater scraping metal.
If you're a gamer check out rocksmith for pc or console..

shyt put me onto diff genres of music and made playing fun...I would be playing guitar for fukking hours.

Oh, so you going vintage. Nice. How much would one run? My tone as a beginner is horrid to the point everything sounds the same type of horrible :mjlol: (But I love it) so I wouldn't even justify copping anything vintage at this point but I heard a 74 strat hooked up to Marshall stack and the shyt sounded stellar. :wow:

Also why'd you sell the strat??
Man I played a custom strat plugged into the slash appetite for destruction marshall amp tribute and :ahh: :ohlawd:

shyt was pure bliss :noah:

Nothing I've plugged into sounds as good since..

2 days later someone bought it from Seattle guitar center...it was like 3,000 :mjcry:

I completely messed up the tuning of my guitar. Spent 20 minutes trying to get the strings to revert back to their standard notes.

Might just drop this to the music shop and have them refit the strings and tune it.

This is my next song to learn.

Been playing guitar 20 years and I'm still shyt, but if you want to learn Cranberries songs you only need about two weeks.

Learn Em, C, G, D, Am and G which are all easy shape chords and you're good for about 95% of their catalog.

Smiths are going to take you a bit more time... come back to them in a year when you've got some more complex shapes under your belt and have got your barre chords working.

I've learned these chords but I've had so much fun playing other songs I forgot about The Cranberries.

I've got some of The Smith's songs openings down after looking at step by step tutorials. My ear training is what I'm most active with, I play the violin so some of it translates over here.

I feel you on that 20 years deep and still not where you want to be. There's so many things to learn and sounding better is a never ending teacher.

How did you mess up the tuning? I messed up the tuning on one of my guitars but that's because I have a Floyd Rose on it. It took me 2 hours to get it back in tune.

I dropped the to a D and was playing that way. Didn't put it back and the next day as I tune regularly all of my strings were an octave higher or lower. I don't know how that happened, so now I gotta fix this.
