What intervention into our daily lives do you feel we need?:ld:

I'm of the class that believes that industries that fukk up and poison your drinking water need to be regulated. Or if your company can fukk up environment you need to be watched. But that's about it. If your business can screw up my general living, then you need to be watched.

Poisoning people is illegal... thats all the regulation you need.:manny:

Majority of regulations overlap laws already in place creating a complex maze of yellow tape that hurts the little guys, not the big guys who can afford expensive lawyers to navigate the paperwork, and have the capital to buy greedy politicians devoid of integrity.

For example do you think new regulation on labor, or new hard to meet building codes hurt walmart or the guy just starting out trying to compete with walmart and take them down?:ld:

over and over again liberal attempts to regulate have made things worse, and the response is always the same... more regulation. Its text book insanity.

At what point do you say enough is enough?:dwillhuh:

Libertarianism doesn't work in a open society because to many groups are competing for social, cultural, economic and political power, so, one groups individuality and liberty will always come at the expense of another group. Or, one group will always feel that another group is oppressing, or damaging them, even if there is no evidence to support this. I used to sympathize with the Libertarian platform because i think it would be great to live in a society that has a primary goal of maximizing liberty. But, the more i read, and the more i think about it, the more i can't help but think that modern Libertarianism is pure spergyness.

- Support for Individuality over community, which increases nihilism and reduces social trust
- Support for dangerous LGBT issues because "they don't hurt anyone"
- A relentless, Autistic obsession with open boarders
- Support for nihilistic and socially destructive drug policy

LOL it's never enough, regulation is always behind those whom it is meant to regulate because of greedy conservatives who write the laws. Just to pad their pocket. But I get it, doing the same thing over and over is insanity. However we need those regulations just in case someone fukks up. And I think it is okay someone checks the food. It's not invasive to me to have someone worried about the air quality.

i'm not sure any educated person takes libertarianism seriously
Thats funny cause i dont take the two party system thats created this gross income inequality seriously... Nor this culture of perpetual war both parties seem to be fans of.

Maybe if I was smarter I'd understand :skip:

Why does everyone have an instinctive aversion to libertarian ideology? You'd think these common sense ideas would be embraced by anyone with an above average intelligence.

i agree. the two party system is just a facade. but libertarianism or any tea party movements that "claim" to be different all just want a piece of the pizza pie

I am actually not quite sure how my viewpoint is that crazy. Anyone that honestly looks at the racial, sexual, and class issues in society would see that an open boarder, multicultural society is a great way to destroy liberty. Liberty is impossible in non homogenous societies.
