THat being said, the biggest angle I can see here is that Liangelo didn't intentionally steal. Ite more concerning that there were other players with him in the store. Someone could have placed something in his bag or the other players wanted something from that store they couldn't buy and they all got scooped up.

Edit: doesn't mean this is the case. But it is a likely plot of events. Of course he could have just done dumb shyt. But it reminds me of how nikkas will tell their little bro to not hang around a certain person because he's trouble and then shyt pops off and we already who was influencing the situation.

we don't know the role he played. The boy could have had sticky fingers or he could have been involved by association. He is not the only one arrested.
