Watching this on TNT and it always bothers me that just because BB was a 9/10 and TDK was a 10/10 that TDKR gets analyzed like the fukkin zapruder film

It was a solid 7.5-8/10 and completed the gawd Nolan's run with one of the GOAT trilogies.

Bane was still an excellent villain and I thought it was a good conclusion to Bruce's career.

agreed, but you're forgetting...

- dull characters
- dull romance
- an abundance of hilariously ridiculous scenes

i mean yea bane was great... and the score was great... and yea there some choice scenes... but when 80% of the movie is status it's hard to really get behind it as a great movie.

So the Batman you know would take on the head of a international terrorist organization that was trained by his former mentor without proper training after 8 years of doing nothing.

Also he didn't know talia set him up worlds greatest detective he is not.

Movie was really good culminating when Bane broke his back.

Was poor after that.

For me it was dope on first watch. But...

It's a poorly written movie. Nolan also was lazy with his directing. Bane is dope but Nolan nueters him at the end and just totally undermines bane.

It's still a watchable flick. It's not terrible but it has some really dumb things going on throughout. I give it a C+ after numerous viewings.

After Batman's back is broke, the pacing is weird and there are too many plotholes to keep you engaged.

Yup. Once the first bane fight is over the movie goes off the track

Nolan jettisons all the logic he placed in the first two flicks
The talia reveal is just as silly as the Kahn reveal or the blofeld reveal and even worse she gets no time to actually do anything

Felt like the movie was a bore for almost everyone involved and they just wanted to finish it

Nolan set the bar so high the first two movies (and his whole career really @FlyRy ) the coli really wont let him live with a 7.5-8/10 film

Enjoyed it about equally as I did TDK (but Batman Begins is better than both imo)


My only complain with the film is that Batman is fighting in daylight


He's supposed to be getting his Batsleep on during the day and prowling at night
