Also @Akan

I find it interesting that they fixed up the Kilwa page, because I remember a couple of years ago Euronuts were editing it and were trying to say the island of Kilwa was founded by a Persian king or something.:mjpls: Now they are saying the island is the work of indigenous Africans
Kilwa Kisiwani - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

But don't get too comfortable, just look at the page about Zanzibar which has no citations.
History of Zanzibar - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I find this part the most hilarious:

Lets just ignore that there was no citation for the whole section, but the fact that we know this is untrue based on archaeological records and first hand people who visited like Ibn Battuta. The stuff that does have citations are badly outdated info.

The stuff I posted by Felix Chami refutes the idea that Zanzibar was founded and controlled by foreigners and those videos too.

No doubt about it they will attempt to come back with the bull, but the one thing that I have noticed is that when White people can no longer disprove something about Black people they will then say that it is not important. That statement right there shows you that they realize that some accomplishment is actually that of Black people. I am noticing this more and more in discussions about Egypt. DNA is proving that Afrocentric people were right the whole time. And the kicker is that the Egyptians were not Arab, Ethiopian or Somalian either. So that really put White people in a no win situation.

Also I know Wikipedia isn't a good source, but I found that people of Great Zimbabwe had control over the Swahilis in a certain town.
Formally, Sofala continued to belong to the Kingdom of Monomatapa, the Swahili community paying tribute for permission to reside and trade there. The Sultan of Kilwa only had jurisdiction on the Swahili residents, and his governor was more akin to a consul than a ruler. The city retained a great degree of autonomy, and could be quite prickly should the Sultan of Kilwa try to interfere in their affairs. Sofala was easily the most dominant coastal city south of Kilwa itself.

IMO Great Zimbabwe may have been bigger than thought.

This is what Ibn Battuta had to say about the Siddis or Abyssians(modern day Ethiopians

"are the guarantors of safety on the Indian Ocean; let there be but one of them on a ship and it will be avoided by the Indian pirates and idolaters."-The African Diaspora in the Indian Ocean

Proves my point of East Africans being the vanguard of the Indian Ocean. @Max B @Nomad1

Now onto what I consider a very BIG topic. The Zanj who were said to be the Swahilis. I consider the Zanj a big topic because they confirm what I always been saying in that Arab domination over Africans is a myth(a myth that wont go away) and this victimization of African history where Africans were feeble minded people who never got a break from being conquered by foreigners needs to stop.

Anyways I believe @Don Drogo knows what I am talking about. Anyways the quotes I am taking comes from the book, "he Pride of the Blacks over the Whites", but I do want to point out that Al Jahiz is NOT giving his OWN opinion, but the opinions of the Zanj and other "blacks."

Also people always point out Arab racism towards blacks, but back then blacks including the Zanj saw themselves superior to not only Arabs, but also other fair skinned people. Hell, I'll go even further and argue that Arab domination/racism of Africans is a recent phenomenon, along with the Arabization of the Swahili people(Zanj).

Al Baghdadi; Al-Fark Bain al-Firak (Moslem Schisms and Sects) (d1037) (northeast Persia)
Taken from: Shorter encyclopaedia of Islam by Sir Hamilton Alexander Rosskeen Gibb, Johannes Hendrik Kramers, The followers of Babak (Iranian-Zoroastrian freedom fighter against the Arabs) make the founder of their religion a prince of theirs who lived in pre- Islamic times, called Sharwin Whose father was of the Zandj whereas his mother was the daughter of a Persian king.

Usul al-Din (Basics of Religion)
Taken from: Shaykh Ahmad ibn Muhammad, A History of the People of Hadeeth
Full name: Abd al-Kahir b. Tahir, Abu Mansur al-Shafi`I al-Baghdadi

Al Marvazi: Kitab Taba’i al Hayawan (1120) (Book on Animals) from Persia.
—————————————————–
Taken from: Marvazi on China, the Turks and India 1942

Complete name: Sharaf al-Zaman Tahir MarvaziAlso called: Al Marwazi
He took his information from a missing geographical work from Al-Jayhani

On the Habasha:
The Habasha (Ethiopians) are a category under which come different classes of people such as the Nubians, Zanj, etc.. Their territories consist of extensive countries with a wide-stretching periphery the extremity of which ends where habitation ends and cultivation and procreation ceases…..

As for the heat in the lands of Habasha and Zanj, it reaches the extreme limit in scorching. They find beauty in the intensity of blackness and abhor whiteness and hold that a white man cannot be healthy...

...It is said in the Tawarikh (Histories) that one of the kings of Khorasan crossed the Oxus in order to fight the Turks. In his troops there were some Zanj. When the Turks sallied forth to meet them, they saw the Zanj,

^^Refuting the myth that all Zanj were slaves, but also shows that they were in other peoples land and also helping them fight wars. Also black was not seen as a negative thing back then.

White supremacy really did a number on us :snoop:

Non-Africans too...
Also called Mobarrad, full name Abu Al-‘Abbas Muhammad Ibn Yazid, is a book on grammar

What he (Fadl ibn al Abas) meant by: I am the green one; is the dark one, the black one. The Arabs used to take pride in their darkness and blackness and they had a distaste for a light complexion and they used to say that a light complexion was the complexion of the non-Arabs.
